I was sleeping on my lovely bed…my eyes closed..just 60 mins later was my birthday but I wasn’t excited at all..!!!
WHY ??
Because no one here remembered that it’s a special day for me tomorrow..!!
Mahi was asleep..& no1 else here even knew my birthday..!!
I was so sad & really felt as if my 18th birthday would be the saddest one :/ without any1 wishing me..without any gift :/ I wished I could go back to the Orphanage..atleast that way I would be able to smile on my birthday !! :/ I wish some one plans a surprise for me..does effort just to bring a single smile on my face..that twinkle in my eyes..that glow on my face !! 🙁 I know that wont happen ever but still I wish :/ deep down my heart I have this wish !!
I was lost in my thoughts when Mahi’s phone rang & she shouted “WHATTTTTTT??” with her left hand on her head & the right one holding the phone..
I was shocked at such a loud scream..I sat straight on my bed with my eyes wide open “What happened Mahi ??”
“TWINKI..KUNJ KA ACCIDENT HO GYA HAI !! WO HOSPITAL MEIN ADMITT HAI !! JALDI CHAL…YUVI LENE AA RHA HUM DONO KO..!!”
I was shocked at her words..!! I looked at the clock..11:20 pm !! 40 mins later I was supposed to be celebrating my birthday…& here now..its all ruined..Kunj was in hospital..I was unable to think anything as if my Mind wasn’t working :/
“TWINKLE !! CHALLLL !! Shorts change kar le..Jeans ya kch bhi pehen le !!” Mahi said making her hair in a bun..
I quickly jumped out of the bed..My heart beats were racing..constantly bad thoughts were crossing my mind..I slipped into my black jeans..I already was wearing a long red top..I dint think of my hair or anything..I went out with Mahi wearing those flip flops I wore at home..At that moment I really did not know what to think actually..I was just worried about Kunj..
Views with blood all over his face..he lying on the road helpless..every one around him worried about his conditions..the helplessness in his eyes..the pleading look on his face..& the way the people had their eyes widened..& those viewers giving him sympathetic looks but doing nothing about it..Arrrgghh !! I just shook my head..closed my eyes hard & concentrated my mind on the thought that “KUNJ IS FINE !! HE HAS TO BE FINE”
Mahi was quiet..She sat beside me in Yuvi’s car..Yuvi also said nothing & kept driving !!
I just kept thinking about the possible view I was going to see & preparing myself to be strong enough to face it !! I just prayed I don’t start crying there..when I see him..!!
THOSE WERE THE MOMENTS WHICH MADE ME REALIZE THAT KUNJ IS NOT JUST MY CRUSH..I REALLY LOVE HIM !!
We reached a house..big house !! Yuvi stopped the car & got down..I looked at Mahi & narrowed my eyes giving her a questioning look…She just raised her shoulder & shook her head in a denial !!
Yuvi opened our doors..we got down..It was all dark..
“Its my house..Kunj is in the room straight down this narrow passage..Actually the hospital was far away so I called the doctor & nurses here..!!” Yuvi spoke pointing me the passage
I nodded my head..I couldn’t just speak anything..
“That was correct..taking him to the hospital could have been risky..” Mahi spoke
“Twinkle u go ahead..I & Mahi will bring something for him to eat from the kitchen..may be he is hungry..& hn it would be dark..u know he is asleep so I switched off the lights..” Yuvi said as he & Mahi moved to the other side of the passage..
I was left alone there..It was really dark..but at this moment of night as I looked above..the moon up there was giving me company with its dim light & also the twinkling stars were adding up to beauty of the night sky..!!
I started moving with short steps & my hands stretched just in case if there is a hurdle ahead I could just realize & not go bump into it..After around 10 steps..I felt a stair-case !! I stopped there..Yuvi dint tell me to go up..or straight :/ I was confused..should I walk forward or wait..!! It was correct to wait but I was so worried for Kunj that I decided to go ahead..
As I stepped on the first stair..A red colored bulb lit on the wall beside the stair-case..!!
The second step & a yellow bulb lit..!!
The third step & again a red bulb lit..!!
I stopped there & looked around to see who was playing with the switches & scaring me..but there wasn’t anyone..I was scared..so I started moving fast on the stairs & with my each step..a bulb was lit..with a pattern of red then yellow..yellow then red..red then yellow !!
I reached the top & looked down..the Staircase was empty..no one was there..I then turned around..the staircase took me to the open porch !! It was dark there..6 more steps lead to the open terrace above !! I was definitely wrong..there was no room here where Kunj would be lying down & resting..
I turned to go back down..& wait near the stair-case..I kept my right leg down on the first stair & then suddenly I heard strumming of guitar from some where behind..I turned..there was no-one..I probably was thinking soo much about Kunj that I was going mad & these tunes were just illusions..I again put my leg on the stair & again I heard the strumming..I was amazed..I turned again but this time the strumming continued..I moved with my short steps forward following the music..but as I thought I was about to reach close to the source it vanished just somewhere..I felt a table there..I just touched it & there was light all around on the small porch..A big teddy with a note attached near his ears was kept there <3 I just loved the big teddy with pretty & big-big eyes..I jumped to get the note !!
After I got that..I carefully opened to read it..

He knew my birthdayyyy !! IT WAS DEFINITELY KUNJ!! He knew my birthday..yaaayyy !!
I just wanted to see him as quickly as possible..I was lost in my happiness & then I heard some one sing a song on the terrace..I turned..& stepped on those small stairs to move on the terrace..I was happy & excited as I moved my steps towards the terrace but it was all dark & nothing was visible but still the guitar was being played & tune hummed & then the song began..GOSHH !!

It was KUNJ !! He was singing for me…I mean seriously singing for me..I ran to the direction of his voice but couldn’t get it right !! I heard his voice again..I turned towards my left..though I couldn’t see anything…but still those melodious notes reaching my ears were making me crazy !! I just wanted to have glimpse of his..Just wanted to see his Smile..those dimples..those chocolaty eyes..

& after the song was over the whole terrace was lit up..It was beautiful..!!
I was amazed to see it..It wasn’t just a normal terrace..it had a pool at one end which was decorated with many shapes of differently colored..floating candles..& the whole place was decorated with lights..on one side there was shed which was dark..I turned to find Kunj & he stood to my right side barely few steps away with his usual ‘Killer Smile’ with those cute Dimples 🙂 <3
I just ran towards him…& pulled him into a warm hug !! I don’t know why but that just happened..!! I just had no control..My legs took me there..& I just wrap my arms around him !!
MAY BE I WAS TOO HAPPY TO SEE HIM ALL WELL AFTER THESE MANY IMAGINATIONS OF BAD THINGS OR MAY BE BECAUSE OF THE THINGS HE DID FOR ME..THOSE EFFORTS..OR MAY BE BOTH COMBINED TOGETHER !!
Kunj had his eyes narrowed in a ‘What’ look..
“Friends hug each other” I said “& I felt like hugging u”
& then Yuhi walked from behind & pulled me towards the dark shed..!!
I turned my face back towards Kunj & he followed us with a Smile..!!
When we reached there..I was afraid they don’t push me in the pool but instead they started shouting 10..9..8..7..6…5…4…..3……2……1……HAPPY BIRTHDAYYY TWINKLE !!
& the lights were lit !! WOAH !!
There was a big table & a big chocolate cake with my name 🙂 & lotss of gifts..Tears had already swelled up in my eyes..
“Challll ab ro mat..aur cake kaaat !!” Mahi kissed me on my cheek..
I gave her a smile & as I blowed the candles the chipmunk birthday song was played on Yuvi’s mobile on full sound..I cut the cake & looked at every one’s face..& then at the sky..just to thank God..
THOUGH U DID NOT GIVE ME PARENTS BUT I M REALLY THANKFUL TO U FOR BLESSING ME WITH FRIENDS AS THEM !! JUST DON’T LET ANYTHING HAPPEN TO THEM <3 <3
I made this wish in my mind & then as I put the first piece in Mahi’s mouth..Yuvi took the cake & smeared my face with it..& then Mahi & Kunj joined too !!
The entire group had their face smeared with the cake..!!
I was happy..really happy..though they made the excuse of Kunj’s accident to keep the surprise a secret but still it helped me to realize my true feelings towards him..also my 18th birthday turned memorable !!
Kunj sang for me..I had lotts of gifts..A big Teddy..Many memories & 3 people who are now my Life❤❤
