“Chapter 4!”
Swara while walking down the stairs, waved at the Ragini who was waiting for her near the end of stairs, as she was rushing her legs slipped, “No!!!” Swara was sure, she was a goner, Ragini’s loud shriek, was the last thing she heard before she closed her eyes.
“Are you ok?” Swara opened her eyes against a hard chest, she could hear the soft heart-beat of the person who was holding her close, which somehow soothed her down; she realised someone has caught her fall. “Who?” She looked up to offer her thanks but gasped, it was Sanskar, her lifelong enemy.
Swara straighten herself up. “Thanks!” She forced herself to say, without even meaning too. She turned around in haste to scan the place where she fell from, “who could it be?” She wonder for a moment but Sanskar’s voice made her fall out of her thoughts.
“Oh, that’s the thanks you gonna offer to your saviour?” Sanskar pressed closer to her, but a sudden kiss on his cheek startled him for good, he turned and found Ragini. “Gross! What do you think your doing punk, how dare you kiss me?” He said wildly rubbing his cheek.
“You didn’t wanted the thanks, Swara offered you, so I thought I will help, if you think this thanks was not enough either, ‘I can throw a hug or two, ‘come here, darling!” Winked Ragini with open arms.
“Stay away! You crazy!” Said Sanskar, he ran from there like no tomorrow.
Both Ragini and Swara laughed heartedly, “you okay? I was scared!” Said Ragini worried.
Swara nodded, she didn’t wanted to increase Ragini’s concerns for her, so she didn’t say that she didn’t fall on her own, somebody has defineitly pushed her but when she looked back she couldn’t find anyone.
“..but hey, Ragini, why did you go that far? Did you took a liking to Sanskar?”
“Please girl, I got standards, …me liking that jerk, never! Not even if he’s the last person on the earth!” Ragini answered immediately. “…I knew he was making you uncomfortable, so I needed to give him the taste of his medicine.” Ragini pinched her lips, “my poor babies, mummy’s sorry!”
“C’mon, slow-poke, we are getting late!” Said Swara pulling Ragini along.

Meanwhile Sanskar was feeling quiet restless, he messaged someone and excused himself from the class, as soon as he got the response. He ran towards the roof, dashing in through the door, he came to a stop. He realised he was breathing heavily but that didn’t matter now, he thought and spoke to the person infront_
“Dude! What were you thinking, why did you push her off the stairs? Were you trying to kill Swara?”
“It’s no fun, dealing with a set of two barbies.” Laksh replied, “I wish to crush them to bits and yet here I’m ‘playing house’ with our enemies.”
“I know, what you’re getting at, believe me, our thoughts are mutual but that doesn’t mean killing them, right?” Sanskar asked just to be sure Laksh and he are on the same page, and if he understand the seriousness of the situation.
“Somebody’s cocky,” Laksh airily, brushed aside Sanskar’s concerns. “Do you remember why did you join here? Two years brother, two years have passed and you didn’t do a dime. Just a pretend show, wolf chasing after rabbits, even rabbits got fed-up now and started to bite back! “Laksh exclaimed, “that’s why, I have to leave abroad and join here, so I can finish what you couldn’t.”
“How in any sense hurting them, can favour our mission?” Sanskar asked abruptly.
Laksh reached near Sanskar, he said with a hurtful look in his eyes, “You’re pitiful brother, you are getting attached to our prey.” Laksh pressed harder on Sanskar’s shoulder, making him wince_”did you forget brother, what we Maheshwari’s have to gone through because of those Gadodia’s, how painful it was for all of us, to see our family suffer all this years? They took all which belonged to us. Have we not vouched together brother, to get back every single thing what was suppose to be ours.”
“I had never once forgotten our promise, but still you went a bit far with Swara_” Sanskar frowned.
“Did I, brother? Did I?” Laksh responded calmly, by not letting Sanskar escaped the look in his eyes, “tell me brother, If anything happens to them, who’s going to be most hurt. Their father, isn’t it ? ..and I want to hurt that person so badly that I’m not even bother, who gets hurt in the process.”
“But that’s not fair!” Sanskar argued.
“Fair! Was it fair than, when he had to feel the burn for their actions. Were we pitied, did they ever bother with us, than, why should we?” Laksh lashed angrily, “stop being a pu**y brother and get back in the game, we have lot more to accomplish.”
Sanskar brushed his hair crazily, watching his brother leave. “Whatever?” He blurted and left after Laksh.
