Maruti, Anjana and Kesari sit down for the puja. Sugriv is also present there along with his father. Maruti is highly tempted to see the kheer that is for offering to God. It must be sweet. Anjana offers it to Maruti but he is not so happy that he has to offer it in the bhog. He makes a sad face while doing so. The puja comes to an end and everyone present there showers flower petals on Maruti and his parents. The saint and all the Gods from above bless them. Maruti takes his place where his Anna-Prashan will be done. Maruti looks at the plate kept before him. Devguru Brihaspati, Anjana, Matang Rishi, Maruti’s grandparents followed by Kesari in the end will do the Anna-Prashan. Devguru Brihaspati says you will become the pride of vanars. Stay blessed always. Maruti greets him. Anjana is a little sad thinking that her son wont come to her to ask for milk even as his Anna-Prashan is done. Maruti is relishing tasting all the different food items. Maruti stops his father for a second as no one is feeding him apple. Everyone starts laughing at his innocent words. Kesari makes him eat an apple. Maruti finishes it. Will I get only this much? Can I not have more? Anjana replies that he can eat everything now. She keeps a plate of food before him. You should eat with your own hands as your Anna-Prashan is done. Maruti eyes the plates sadly. Only this much? Ma said that everything is for me. He thinks of something. You all can eat these plates while I will eat from all the other bigger plates. Everyone looks on with amazement as Maruti empties all the plates / bowls! The kids are tensed thinking what they will eat now. Atibal is eyeing the two laddoos I will eat them. Maruti picks up one but they Sakha takes away the second one too. Atibal makes a sad face. Maruti asks for more food. Anjana tells a daasi to bring more food for Maruti.
Shri Krishna says Maruti’s hunger was surprising everyone. It looked as if Maruti will finish all the food of the world.
The servants start bringing more and more food. Maruti eats everything all by himself but his hunger remains unsatisfied. The shock is obvious on everyone’s faces. He looks so small. Lord Shiva and Ma Parvati smile watching Maruti’s antics. The food store gets empty. Maruti is still hungry though. Anjana is worried. My son is eating for the first time and he will stay hungry? Nothing else can pain a mother more than this. Maruti cannot see his mother upset even if he is not hungry. He walks up to where his mother is. I was full long ago but I was tempted to eat more as the food items were very tasty. He fakes a burp. Anjana hugs him. Everyone else sighs in relief.
Lord Ganesha had done such thing to break someone’s arrogance. Surely this is going to be a lesson for someone too!
At night, Anjana is trying to put Maruti to sleep. I have to make preps for tomorrow too. She sings a lullaby for him. She covers him with duvet as he falls asleep. He opens his eyes as soon as she is gone. He is still hungry. I will have to eat something but what could it be? He gets an idea.
Precap: Narad ji points out at the sun to Maruti . That is the biggest fruit of all. Your hunger will be satisfied after eating it. Maruti beats his fist into the floor and it breaks into two. He flies high while Narad ji stumbles on the bed as it gets cracked into two!
