BLIND LOVE

” Life is unpredictable , So is Love “

Love and Life both are unpredictables. Love happens with the most unexpected person while life could sometimes turn it into something unwanted and unexpected !

Same was the case with Kunj Sarna !

Life turned cruel at him when that incident occur………A life changing incident !

It changed the perspective of his life. Not just that but it turned his whole life upside down.

After that incident he was broken and hurt. He lost his eyesight but the worst came when his mother left his father and him all alone in this world.

He suffered from the worst , he knew even if worst comes to worst he has already surpassed half of it but then ‘ SHE ‘ came in his life.

The girl who taught him the meaning of life at worst but also broke his heart. Even then all he could do was ‘ Smile , move on holding back his tears and pretend he was fine as ever ‘

Life was indeed cruel to him but he got the chance over life when she knocked the door of his heart and without his permission made a home for herself in his heart.

‘ The day she came in his life , he saw the beauty of life from her eye’s ‘

Pavements move as a great river of humanity, the roads rivers of cars. These buildings that have seen the modern age pass, standing in silent witness, weathered rocks stretching toward blue sky. Here in the city of Amritsar , in this canvas of life , the art of each face is something to savour.

In the right middle of the beautiful city a cluster of four high tech buildings. The buildings were large, smoked glass and steel, each one joined to the next by a covered walkway.

The building held the board of ‘ Sarna Interprises ‘. On the top most floor of the high tech building inside the ‘ Conference Room ‘ stood Kunj Sarna leading the business meeting expressing his ideology about one of the most expensive yet most progressing project for any company.

It was deal with multi-national delegates. There was not just Kunj Sarna but also many other top businessman competing for this project and Rajveer Taneja is one of them. One of the biggest rival of Sarna Industries ~ What Rajveer thought himself to be…!

He looked at Kunj with hostility and anger as he saw Kunj flawlessly explaining his ideas while investors looked more impressed with Kunj rather than when his own son , Arnav Taneja was explaining.

He fisted his hand in anger as he somewhere knew he once again lost this deal to Manohar Sarna. No sooner the contract was officially given to ‘ Sarna Interprises ‘. Everyone congratulated Manohar and Kunj.

Even Rajveer went forward and congratulated them with half hearted smile which Manohar could easily sense the fakeness but Kunj was naive to think that he congratulated them genuinely. After contract was officially announced, everyone left only Kunj , Manohar and Aarush were present in conference room.

Aarush – (Kunj’s bestfriend and Manohar’s late sister and brother-in-law’s son , A genuine and good person at heart. He is just like the incomplete part of Kunj’s life , his eye’s. He has been Kunj’s support since that incident along Manohar. He calls Manohar dad just like Kunj.)

” Kunj , you once again proved that nothing can stop you from succeeding. You can do whatever you want. I am proud of you beta ” Manohar said and hugged Kunj.

Kunj smiled and hugged Manohar back but that smile never reached his eye’s. Manohar continued still hugging Kunj ” Aarush ! It would not have been complete without you. You both once again proved yourself with your hardwork. “

Aarush smiled and thanked Manohar. Aarush and Manohar looked at Kunj who was smiling but that wasn’t genuine.

Manohar’s heart broke everytime seeing his son trying to suppress his pain. There was nothing he could do to genuinely make his son happy. That incident has left a really deep impact on him.

A scar that was now a part of his wounded soul.

So to enlighten the atmosphere , Manohar frowned and said ” Do I need to give you invitation Mr Aarush to come and hug me ? Aren’t you jealous that Kunj would take away all your affection to ? ”

” No….No….No ! This ain’t happening. I am not going to share my hug with Kunj at all. After all I need them to ” Aarush said playfully making Kunj pick a pen aim and throw at him which exactly hit Aarush.

” Hey……That’s wrong ! You can’t hit me like this Mr Kunj Sarna. Are you seeing this Dad. How much your son tortures me.” Aarush said dramatically while Manohar and Kunj giggled. This time the smile that appeared was genuine.

” Come on Kunj Sarna ! It’s time for party and you should give me one. Infact you should give party to everyone man. You cracked such a bug deal for which more than 100 companies were fighting for ! Party is must.Right Dad ? ” Aarush said wrapping his left arm around Kunj’s neck.

” Can you ever think something other than party Aarush ? Have you forgotten we need to work on another project and complete that within this week. ” Kunj said while Aarush rolled his eyes.

” Dad…….you have gotten the most boring person as your other son. You should thank babaji that he sent me. Warna pata nahi iss boring insaan ke saath akele reh kar kya hota apka “ Aarush said dramatically.

Manohar laughed while Kunj frowned.

” Shut Up Aarush….Or Else ” Kunj warned.

” Or else what ? Dad see he is threatening me “ Aarush teased Kunj more.

” Actually I was thinking to tell dad about last night…” before Kunj could complete Aarush immidiately stopped him by covering his mouth.

” Abey….Bhai hai ya dushman. “

” Kya Hua tha kal raat ? ” Manohar asked suspiciously.

” Dad woh ”

” Kuch bhi toh nahi Dad…. Areh ! Hum kya baate karne lag gaye…… meri party toh bheech mein hi reh gayi ” Aarush somehow diverted the matter glaring Kunj while to chuckled.

” OKAY…………..OKAY ! So this Saturday a party for all employees of Sarna Industries from my side ” Manohar said and left while Aarush jumped in happiness like a happy kid.

Soon whole Sarna Interprises rejoiced with the news of securing the contract. Kunj , Aarush and Manohar were sitting in Kunj’s cabin and continued discussing the project.

Aarush was reading the contract to Kunj and their requirements while Kunj was expressing his Ideas.

Kunj may have lost his sight in that fatal accident but it could not snatch his spirit of living a life of a normal person.

So this was how Aarush was ~ A vision for Kunj to view the life.

Soon it was evening time , Manohar had an important meeting so he left to attend that while Kunj decided to visit the place that gave him happiness and peace ‘ The Sarna Orphanage and Old Home ‘.

The place that could give him happiness and peace he always craves in his life. As per Manohar’s strict instructions Aarush never left Kunj.

They were well aware that Kunj’s power of sense and detecting his surrounding’s were extremely high and excellent but he still could not allow even a slight scratch on his son.

He has already lost his wife , he almost lost Kunj. He felt himself helpless when he remembered Kunj suffering each day. He wanted to punish his wife and son’s CULPRIT but he could not.

He wanted to ease his son’s pain and sufferings but he could do nothing ~ He was helpless because of the half known truth.

TANEJA MANSION

Glass shattering noises echoed in Taneja Mansion as Rajveer smashed a vase on floor in anger. Arnav and Leela stood in corner seeing Rajveer vent out his anger.

” Damn it……Again ! Once again that Manohar Sarna won because of his son and on other hand is my useless son. Not even one person in the room was convinced by your presentation Arnav Taneja. What good are you for ? You are much more experienced than Kunj yet you lost to him. ” Rajveer yelled angrily. He once again lost to Manohar. Every time he was left a step behind Manohar.

” D…Dad….. ” Arnav tried to speak but was instantly shut by Rajveer’s glare.

He huffed in anger and was about to broke another vase when someone held his hand back. He looked up angrily to see his daughter aka Twinkle standing with a concerned look.

” What are you doing Dad ? Don’t you know your hypertensiveness can increase your BP. Why are you being so angry ? ” twinkle asked confused at his behaviour and worried for his health.

” Then what else should I do princess ? I am fed up of this humiliation. Today once again that Manohar humiliated me infront of many people. ” Rajveer said faking sadness and hurt triggering anger in twinkle.

She could bear anything in this world but not her father’s insult. ” You don’t know princess. This is not first time he had done this but today he also involved his son in this all ” Rajveer lied to twinkle provoking her anger more as he realised that by now twinkle was ready to shread Manohar and his son into pieces seeing her father’s saddened form so he acted more.

Arnav stood stunned seeing his father acting as a victim and provoking twinkle. He could not retaliate seeing Rajveer’s warning expressions so he chose to keep quite while Leela watched her husband in disgust. This man was much to despicable to provoke his children against someone who had no fault in anything.

A person who was innocent and oblivious to his despicable methods.

” I can’t do anything. He doesn’t stops at anything and now his son. His son is much more arrogant than him. He didn’t even once thought he was talking to an elder person. ” Rajveer said with a deep sigh.

” How can someone stoop so low ? How can someone disregard anyone specially an old citizen infront of everyone. Surely Mr Manohar could not teach his son some good values. ” Twinkle said angrily influenced by Rajveer’s words.

” Princess will you help me if I ask for you to do something ? ” Rajveer said as if requesting for anything.

” Dad….You don’t need to ask me. Just tell me what I need to do. ”

” I want revenge. I want to see Manohar Sarna destroyed ” Rajveer said in venomous tone. Twinkle was shocked at first but then nodded her head in yes. She could not see her father suffering so she agreed to do whatever Rajveer said.

” Manohar’s only weakness is his son Kunj Sarna. If Kunj is hurt. Manohar won’t be able to hold back himself. Make Kunj fall for you twinkle and break his heart. ” RT said mercilessly.

Twinkle was shocked so was Leela and Arnav. Can someone stoop so low as to play with someone’s with an individual’s feelings ?!

But the reason of twinkle’s shock was something else ~ Kunj Sarna !

Her heart skipped a beat hearing that name!

It sent electric jolts down her spine.

‘ The Sarna Orphanage and Old Home ‘.

There is no worse fate for a child in this corrupt world than to loose it’s parents. They are the most beautiful souls ready to make you smile with their cute antics and carefree nature but unfortunately the cruel game of destiny gives them the worst scar of their live. A void that is rarely filled.

A void of having a family !

This orphanage and old home is the only place which gives Kunj the peace and happiness he has been craving for. Children and Oldies here are the people that makes Kunj smile and they are the reason Kunj could having a feeling of the void filled.

These selfless souls with no inner motives are just like Kunj. They have no reason to plot against anyone and so have Kunj.

They don’t have anyone to depend on , to spend their time with and say their heart out.

Though Kunj have many people and if not many then Manohar and Aarush but he doesn’t feel like opening up himself.

There is a spark missing in his soul.

A spark that will revive his dead soul.

A spark that would forever enlighten his life.

They say ‘ A person is tested both given and taken by Almighty. 

Kunj had everything but there was a path filled with obstacle he has to walk alone ~ What he thought…!

These children here have nothing yet they are tested on the path of their lives to live alone.

Kunj walked inside the orphanage with Aarush by his sides. As soon as the kids caught a glimpse of Kunj they ran over to him gleaming with happiness and screaming happily.

He was their favourite person.

He feels happy to be with them. It gives him happiness to enlightens their life.

His own life was filled with the darkness of his past but he can enlighten their darkened lives.

They pounced on Kunj happily hugging his legs and waist to small to reach his height. Kunj smiled as they hugged him and sat on his knees to match their heights.

” Bhaiya I missed you “ said a cute little girl hugging Kunj.

Kunj hugged her back with a smile ” I missed you too little rabbit. ”

Little girl frowned at the nick name Kunj used. She chided in irritation making Kunj chuckled at her cute antics.

” Uhun bhaiya. I am big girl and I have a name Ruhi. ” Ruhi said cutely folding her hands at her chest.

” Really Ms Little Rabbit ? Big girl haan. “ Kunj said tickling Ruhi. Ruhi bursted into fits of giggle.

” Huhu this Ruhi Chuhi takes all the attention everytime. “ said a little boy of her age slightly pushing her.

” Hey young man easy. She will fall down. ” Kunj said holding onto the little boy.

” Hey Kiddos ! Even I am here and not just your Kunj bhaiya. ” Aarush said gaining their attention.

” Huhu…So Mr Bandar is also here. ” Ruhi said grinning well aware of the fact that she has irritated Aarush while everyone else chuckled including Kunj.

A fight was about to happen……!

” You……Ruhi Chuhi. I have a name Aarush. ” Aarush replied gritting his teeth.

” Then I also have a name ‘RUHI’ and their is no ‘Chuhi’ at the end. ” Ruhi replied in the same tone.

” You……….” Aarush started but was interrupted by Kunj.

” Eh…don’t start fighting. Don’t you guys want to see what have I brought for you this time. ” Kunj said bringing a bright smile on their faces.

They jumped in joy and screamed in happiness. Aarush gestured bodyguards along them to bring in the things they have brought for children and elder people of old age home.

Soon they came up with lots of gifts and different thing’s. Time passed as if a flowing water.

Kunj didn’t realised when three hours passed. He was so engrossed with these children and oldies that he could not get hold of time.

Soon it was time to bid bye to these innocent little souls. They were sad to see their favourite person going but they knew he have to go so they bid Aarush and Kunj bye with a happy smile and hugs.

Kunj and Aarush sat in car as Aarush drove toward’s Sarna Mansion. Their was complete silence during the ride. Kunj was lost in his own thoughts and neither Aarush disturbed him.

After sometime car came to a halt bringing Kunj back to reality. Kunj opened his seat belt and opened the door.

” Wait Kunj! Let me help you. “ Aarush suggested even though he knew Kunj didn’t needed his help now anymore but he can’t help being protective.

” I am not that Kunj who used to stumble because of this blindness. I have learned to hold myself Aarush. “ Kunj replied bluntly.

It was harsh but Aarush didn’t felt bad. He knew what Kunj had been going through all these years and some words like these were no harm atleast he speaks up his frustration and anger build up inside him.

” I am sorry. I…I didn’t meant to hurt you Aarush. “ Kunj apologised realising he was harsh with his words.

Aarush chuckled and shook his head ” Come on Kunj ! Since when does this ‘thank you’ or ‘sorry‘ started existing between us ? “

” I know Aarush but…..”

” No ifs and but Kunj Sarna. Dad might be waiting for us inside. Let’s go. ” Aarush interrupted Kunj and distracted the topic.

They both went inside and as Aarush said Manohar was waiting for them. They both went inside and greeted Manohar.

” Kunj and Aarush you both should go and get freshen up. I will ask Ramu Kaka to serve food. ” Manohar instructed as both Aarush and Kunj nodded.

Aarush have been living with Kunj , Manohar and Usha after his parents died in a plane crash and after Usha’s death only these three has been eachother’s family.

Soon they settled on table for dinner and finished it amidst Aarush’s jokes but Kunj barely smiled. It has always been same. He had completely lost his smile.

” Umm…I am done with my dinner. I am going back to my room. ” Kunj said about to get up but Manohar stopped him.

” Stop Kunj! Have your medicines first and then go. ” Manohar said.

Kunj closed his eyes with a painful smile. These medicines , this treatment was a part of his life from last eight years but nothing changed or happened.

He had given up on the hope to see this world once again long back.

” Dad there is no use of taking these medicines daily. I have accepted my reality that I can never get my sight back. It’s better you both should also accept it. “ Kunj replied and left from there without giving Manohar a chance to retaliate back.

Manohar looked at Kunj’s retreating figure with tears. Aarush sighed and said ” Dad don’t be disheartened. “

” Kaise Aarush ? Kaise mayus na hun ? Yeh kyun nahi samajhta ke there are chances of him getting his eyesight back. Agar yeh medicines time par lega toh operation possible hai. I know there are only 5% chances par main yeh risk lena chahta hun. Main nahi dekh sakta apne bacchon ko taqleef mein. Main nahi dekh sakta isse roz aise adh mara jeete hue. Kyun nahi samajhta yeh ? “ Manohar said breaking down.

The worst thing for a father was to see his child so hopeless and broken.

Aarush consoled Manohar and sighed. He knew Kunj had totally lost his hope but he wished each day that someone can make him live his life again , can make him hope for a better tomorrow.
