“There is nothing left we have not tried, but No success yet,” Kasturi spoke devoid of any distress as she fed the orange juice to Kavya.

They have come to this restaurant in the valley for a dinner night with Twinkle and her little girl.

Though it was not a moment to talk about such things when Anuj went to attend a call, she could not keep this wish to herself.

“Di, don’t let your hopes go down… everything will be alright.” Twinkle pacified her.

“what about surrogacy?” did you guys think about that?” she mumbled lowly, apprehensive of her sister’s response.

“once we talked with our doctors and they say now the government has made some amendments and only a close family member can become the surrogate mother,” Kasturi replied with a faint smile.

“and don’t think about me, someday something good will come my way.” Kasturi replied wiping Kavya’s face. “by the way I heard Kunj is coming from Dublin.

“hmmm, Ma was telling he has cut short his stay.” now it was Twinkle’s face who has gone devoid of any emotion.

“you guys need anything else,” Yasir asked in a cheerful voice as he came back.

“No, what happened… you look happy.”Kasturi asked him.

“well, it was one of the proposals, the minister signed this evening,” he told them taking the seat.

“hey Kavya, come to uncle’s lap… the little girl has gotten everyone on her tiny viny fingertips.

“thats a good news Jeeju.” Twinkle smiled genuinely.

“so my lonely days are about to start one more time.” Kasturi joked as now her husband was going to work on that project with all the attention to it.

“at least there was someone among the two who was nonchalant about what they didn’t have.”

It had been nearly a month of her arrival here, after her marriage she had not stayed in her father’s home more than a week, Yuvi never made any delay to take her back.

But now was a different time.

Every time she started thinking about going back, all the bad memories came to her and even the proposal of Kunj felt an alien thought.

No one talked about this topic, even her mother in law never sparked something about her homecoming.

Though she was talking with Kunj as time passed she had started to feel a strange feeling as if this was something not good.

Now from last three days, he had not talked with her… and she had not felt any of those distressing feelings like she was cheating herself.

Wandering through this heritage temple of Manali, she kept shuffling these thoughts.

“where are you?” a WhatsApp message appeared on her phone screen.

“what happened?” she replied suddenly afraid of anything suspicious.

“tell me the size of shoes Kavya wears…I am buying a few things for her so.” his message was up in no time, she could imagine the furious fingertips typing the message.

“okay.” with that she typed the number right away.

“try returning home soon.” his next message surprised her.

“????” she typed immediately puzzled with the request.

“i mean it is not good to wander the city when it is about to get dark.” his message popped up.

And sending a little emoji she thought about this man for a long moment.

She felt a genuine attraction to him at times but then at moments, she felt everything just so distressing and abnormal.

Everything was shining bright in the fainting sunlight which was sieving through the glass mirrors.

Vivek and his wife were surprised by the sudden arrival of these guests and the preparation they had come with.

The magenta color poly-sheets covering the fruits and sweet boxes and then a couple of dresses with beautiful wraps has glued them on their spots when the driver one by one kept the boxes on their drawing-room table.

“Vivek Bhai Sahab, where is Twinkle?” asked Uma smiling brightly.

She thought she saw a familiar face among the people entering the temple as she wore her sandals to leave for home.

“might be someone.” brushing away the thought she kept tying the loose straps.

Walking to the roadside stand to take some rikshaw she gave a little fix to her dupatta.

“i have never visited the temple, would you mind giving a quick tour.” a known voice whispered from somewhere close.

And she froze like she heard a ghost talking with her.

But the sound was so clear and it was definitely him, with the thought she was in the process of looking to her sides…

“i think you did not like the surprise.” smirking to her he came in front of her, and pulled her to the footpath.

“how come you, Suddenly… you were asking me to ret u r n  H O M E soon.” and things cleared up.

He was asking her to return soon cause he has returned to her…

She didn’t know why but all of a sudden her eyes welled up with some tears of joy as she stared his face as if to ensure he was there.
