Karan was lost in deep thoughts of Preeta while he held Maira’s hand. He recalls Preeta allowing him do whatever he wants to with his life. Maira now turns to put the ring in Karan’s finger but Karan looked away. Kritika and Sameer were unhappy about the engagement, while other clap. Rakhi distributes sweet and hugs Karan. Maira was happy that Preeta and Shrishti made all the efforts to stop her wedding with Karan, but all in vain. Soon, she will be Mrs. Luthra.
Shrishti sat with Preeta and shares her fears from Sarla. Preeta blames Shrishti for always taking unthoughtful steps. Sarla and Janki reach the police station. Sarla speaks to the inspector about bail. The inspector asks if this is how Sarla has brought her daughter up, she must keep them in limits. Sarla argues with the inspector that her daughters have been well brought up, why he has arrested her daughters. The inspector says her daughters went into someone’s engagement, and tried to break it. Sarla questions if he knows the whole truth. She presents the papers of bail and demands the inspector to release them. The girls sign the papers. Sarla turns to leave when Preeta and Shrishti hug her. Sarla says they will talk about it at home. Janki tells the girls not to cry, Sarla is their mother and may only scold at maximum.
It was night. Maira was standing in her room. Her mother tells her about her dad’s call but Maira wasn’t interested to speak to him. She was only happy and complements her engagement ring.
Karan played with the flame of candle while in his room. Out of frustration, he puts the flame off. He was thinking about Preeta and badly drunk. Rishab comes to his room. Karan asks where Rishab had been. Rishab curtly says he wasn’t there, and won’t even attend his wedding. Karan has grown up and doesn’t need any advices from the elders. He will no longer be at Karan’s side. Karan asks what Rishab wants to say. Rishab question if this matters to him? He only wanted to see how Karan can save his wife from the police; he wanted to save Preeta but couldn’t. Karan is her husband, it was his responsibility to protect her, he stood there while people disgraced his wife, and police arrested her. Rishab stood with Karan always in every matter, but today he is hurt at heart. He claims to the whole world that his brother is his hero, his star; Karan left him worth no words and pride. Karan has grown up and need no support or advice. Karan was aggressive and shouts at Rishab to kill him, hit him and fight with him. He questions why Rishab is angry and upset today. Rishab says he is shouting because Karan didn’t shout today. Karan blames Rishab also doesn’t care for him. Rishab grabs his collar, asserting if he doesn’t care? It’s alright, he would leave Karan doing whatever he wants to. He leaves the room.
Preeta was sleepless at night. Shrishti asks why she is so restless. Preeta says she finds this window in front of her and is every time heartbroken. Shrishti apologizes for everything that happened today.
The next morning, Sarla comes out of the room shouting for Janki. Preeta replies Janki isn’t home. Sarla stood silently for a while then turns to leave. Shrishti speaks to Sarla that Preeta had no mistake in all this. Sarla says she is angry at Shrishti and Preeta, but more than that she is angry with Luthra’s. They sent her daughters to police station for such a minor act. Preeta apologizes Sarla. Sarla nods at her. Preeta runs to hug Sarla. Shrishti tries to hug them but Sarla scolds Shrishti for taking all the unthoughtful decisions. Sarla answers a door bell, it was Rupali and her sister Neha. Rupali comes inside and says she thought Preeta must be at her in-laws. She asks about Preeta’s second marriage. Sarla dislikes it. Rupali had come to give them her wedding invitation,. She taunts it seems marriage isn’t in Preeta’s luck.

Finally, rishab receives more screen space! As usual, the show is focused on the work of Kareena, Sherlyn and now Maira. This show certainly does ‘stick it’ to Indian men. It’s not hard to imagine three female creatures from the bottom of a cesspool, running the lives of ‘adult’ man-boys and the real women and men cowering in fear from the cess-pool caricatures of women. Cartoon Heaven. Excepting the fact, that I have witnessed controlling b*tches very effectively ruin whole Indian families… too many times…, I would hope for some laughs. Instead, all I see are echoes of reality from or just like some moneyed families. The only way these b*tches would learn about reality is by stabbing at their egos…. take away all of their money, which isn’t really theirs anyway. Ekta Kapoor does a wonderful job of illustrating how too many Sikh families run their households… Yah, yah… I know. Partition did that. Isn’t it time to grow up? Isn’t it time to mature the narrative? But no. Not for an Ekta Kapoor type. For her and her ilk, things should remain the same…. protecting and growing her money at the expense of turning humans into POS’s. Criminal abuse is just fine if it enhances your bank account and your ego. And the man-boys never grow up. Their women can’t allow it to happen.
well said my friend what a disgrace writing this shit no body get caught and every episode don’t have a direction thanks to the writers who thinks write like slum dwellers this is a stress full show sending a woman who is trying to stop her husband from marrying again STOP THE CRAP
I didn’t knew that you are so “mature” to bring Sikh community here in your comments for a stupid show ….Not every family is like this and here the characters which are being portrayed are “Punjabi’s” not Sikhs.. Firstly gain your facts correctly before commenting anything.. Am not targetting you here but you have no right and I would like to repeat You Have No Right To Bring Any Community in your comments if you want to critice the show , critice it to your hearts content but you have no right to state any communities here in your comments for a stupid show , the individuals are getting paid for their performance in this show when they have no problem in playing these dumb characters then we all should not say anything and here I am not defending the show and it’s script ….
You don’t like the show you don’t watch it your life would be much more peaceful without watching these kind of shows but the thing which surprised me most was that you directly jumped and made your judgements about a particular community when you don’t even know them …. Not everyone is like these characters ……(p.s. no hate intended)
I apologize to you and any other reader who’s feelings I may have triggered, too deeply. If you read my 2nd comment below or have read past comments I do try to bring attention to issues I believe that need to be addressed. This production presents many issues. I am from a Sikh family myself. and yes, my family was deeply affected by partition like so many others. The Canadian diaspora has the largest Sikh community outside of India. I am a firm believer that the issues which need to be addressed must be spoken about, observed, discussed and resolved. The talking and considering must begin. Thinking and feeling must begin. I hope that I am one of the voices that does trigger people, bringing up new feelings and thoughts and understanding. There is never hate intended in my discourse. Anger, yes. Bewilderment yes. Humour… absolutely! Most important, I am guided by the discourse/visuals/attitudes that this production presents literally, emotionally, mentally and spiritually/energetically. What I write is triggered by what I have just seen and heard on the program. And it is good to be reminded about my own ‘p’s and q’s’. Thank-you.
Also, my understanding is that Ekta Kapoor is Sikh. As well, there have been many past references in especially KKB that indicate this is definitely a Sikh and Punjabi family. i.e. in food, rituals and of course, Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
You see I was not trying to be rude or harsh to you and if you were hurt by my comment I would like to apologise… it’s just that, at that moment I was hurt that someone was saying anything about my community and that to at this sham of a show comments box(no hate to you) and didn’t read your other comments before writing that comment. But since you explained your point of view as why you wrote that and what was your intention , I understand your reasons as to why you want to spread the awareness about the violence against women because intiative matters no matter from where we are starting …many suffered due to partition and I am not saying that everyone is saint (in my first comment) there are families- women who suffered because of this type of mentality… these type of shows are the example that the mentality of huge number of men and family members is worse towards/for women and someone needs to raise the voice against this which you are doing but the problem here is that, Ekta Kapoor “the famous indian producer” is still walking on the orthodox path to make her shows hit , which is happening because of the audience who wants to see the same topic again and again ” fights -hate – abusing and then suddenly love blooms” this isn’t how reality works….but anyways thank you for clearing this out and like I said in my first comment there was no hate/rudeness intended…
And I would also like to apologise for some words which might have been hurtful though it was not intentional in my first comment
EKTA would like this I live in Canada. A PUNJABI MAN WAS BEATING AND KICKING HIS WIFE IN BRAMPTON ONTARIO REMINES ME OF KUNDLI BAGHIA EH EKTA GOOGLE IT U WILL SEE
Yep. Those stories are here in my Canadian city as well. And I am including (because I’m Indian of course I am always told about the neighbour family that….) whenever I meet new people. The new people are checking to see where I stand on the issue. These stories are where the neighbours stepped in to help the woman and children. These stories aren’t reported, even here. Although police become involved sometimes, for some women I can only imagine that ‘shame’ or fear of reporting. the most frightening scenario in my mind would be if the in-laws showed up i.e. the parents of the creature who should be in jail. Karan Luthra should be in jail alongside his club of evil-doers…Prithvi etc It’s a lousy story and it promotes the same quality of attitude on many viewers… the majority. I do not think that the Indian population understands how shameful this is.
For the world to be shown that these are Indian families living in dire stupidity…. and the world seeing the truth of it through the diaspora is shameful. there are adult Indians who are not like this at all and are productive adult human beings. It is good that some who continue to watch are also sending out a reminder of what this production really is. BTW I would doubt very much that Miss Kapoor would wish to lower herself to read anything here.
on the streets of Brampton
Dear Firefly, originally I asked or wished that it was time to “mature the narrative” . I was not claiming to be more mature. And you know what? We did do just that. I truly believe that it is important that people express their deep feelings even if and when they are difficult to hear because we must know the full truth if problems are to be truly resolved. And yes, that can be difficult but this what I call ‘maturing the narrative”. Talking and accepting very different viewpoints can become an exercise in understanding and then hopefully growth for all parties. My heart is non-judgemental. My voice always asks for full truth to come out as that is more adult like. This is one way that a situation can be bettered so all of us regular humans can create better futures for everyone, not just the few.
