Hi y’all! Here are the responses to the comments from the previous episode:
Hi Seanna, thank you for reading and throwing your shoes at me, but I’m hoping this update seems like a very quick one to you.
Hi Shivangi, thank you so much!
Hi Diha, thank you for reading and understanding! I hope this update seems really quick.
Hi Asen! Omg yes, adulting is such a pain. Anyhoo though, about why Vansh wants to marry Riddhima, there might be a small hint in here, but it’s not self-explanatory, I guess. Also no, I don’t post on Wattpad.
Hi M, I love writing their fights too. Thank you for reading and supporting!
Hi Anhi, sorry for how late I got last time. I’ll try being quicker henceforth.
Hi Rianshfan, thank you so much!
Hi TSA, thank you so much! I’m so glad you liked the previous episode. As for Vansh’s decision, there’s a very small hint here, but not sure if it’s understandable. Do let me know if you figure out anything!
Hi Riansh Lover, thank you! And no, Payal isn’t her real mom. A lot of that fact is related to her past, so I hope the past doesn’t turn out to be too boring when it comes out.
Hi Riya, thank you for reading! And han ji, woh toh hoga hi, lekin intezaar bhi hoga. I hope you like it nonetheless.
Hi Ravi, thank you so much! And no way, Riddhima ain’t falling weak. Vansh might, but not Riddima, lol.
Hi Naira U Singh, thank you so so much! I hope you like the coming episodes too and again, sorry for the long wait.

BECOMING MRS. RAISINGHANIA – EPISODE 4: THE MUSICAL
Riddhima followed her mother inside the Raisinghania mansion, cursing her fate constantly. Despite her will, she’d to come to the musical to avoid disappointing her mother. Although, she’d decided, she would avoid that son of a b’st’rd. Even if he saw her and enjoyed his victory, she wouldn’t bother talking to him. After all, he still ought to be taught a lesson and she couldn’t forget that.
As she walked inside the mansion, she noticed the elite but minimal decorations that bedecked the house. The reds and pinks contrasting the white of the house caught Riddhima’s attention and she couldn’t stop herself from appreciating the small details and furnishings that had been taken care of. The mansion looked very different from the previous time she’d visited and she reminded herself that the Raisinghanias needed to flaunt their wealth and status in the society.
“Riddhima, where are you lost? C’mon, Ma is calling the two of us.”
The two sisters walked toward their mother and introduced themselves to some of her friends. After the formalities finished, Riddhima smiled at the older women, listening to the themes of their conversations. The conversations mostly revolved about their children and settlement, and Riddhima knew she’d to find her way out of there. She didn’t know if the Raisinghanias had already hinted at their son’s marriage with her – surely, they were very capable of it. However, if they hadn’t, then she needed to steer herself out of these conversations for as long as possible.
She began walking away, wandering around the house. The regal architecture of the house really fascinated her and she mentally appreciated the architect of the house. The fineness of the embellishments on the beams and pillars really astonished her.
“Riddhima!”
She turned around toward the voice and the forced smile from her lips dissipated. She wanted to vent out her frustration at the woman, for giving into her son’s ill demands, but she couldn’t disappoint her mother again. Her mother had warned her multiple times, asking her not to misbehave with the Raisinghanias and thus, she figured, she had to force herself to smile over and over again, throughout the evening.
Uma (walking to her): Hello, Beta!
Riddhima: Hello, Aunty! How are you?
Uma: I’m good. I hope I’m not disturbing you…
Riddhima shook her head, but mentally berated her fate and clenched her teeth behind her masked happiness. She knew the Rainsinghanias loved their children and complied to all their wishes, but all she wanted was, they left her out of it. Their son had already brought in differences between her and her Ma; she didn’t know what else this family wanted from her.
Uma: Look Beta, I tried talking to Vansh, but he didn’t listen to me. I’m sorry you’d to feel the embarrassment that day because of him, but trust me, if you don’t want to marry him, it’s perfectly fine. No one will force you.
Riddhima looked at her, her eyes widening in surprise. If anything, she definitely hadn’t expected Uma Raisinghania to say these words. Her personality was beyond her understanding, but it was probably for the better. Perhaps, she wanted to manipulate her emotionally and see if she could fulfil her son’s stupid demand.
Uma: See, I don’t know what Vansh is up-to, but if there’s anything, please tell me. I’ll make sure he doesn’t do anything that is wrong.
Riddhima: Aunty, Vansh didn’t tell you?
Vansh (from behind): What was I supposed to tell you, Ma?
Riddhima spun around toward him, shock wavering within her. She clenched her fists and forced herself to smile, trying to cover-up the situation. How this man always controlled situations to turn them in his favour – she had no idea of – but she clearly despised him. He was, practically, controlling her and doing things against her will.
Vansh: Ma, Payal Aunty was looking for you over there.
An emotion of hesitance covered her features and she looked at Riddhima, not wanting to leave her with him.
Uma: I’ll just talk to your mother and come, okay? I still want to talk to you.
As his mother walked away, Riddhima stared at her retreating figure angrily. How could she leave her with Vansh, after she was doubtful of her his behaviour? She was sure now, these Raisinghanias were just trying to act nice and manipulate her. The entire family was like him – at least, he was straightforward and she appreciated that. She couldn’t tolerate the lies that his family was weaving.
Vansh walked closer to her and Riddhima began stepping away, trying to avoid him. She wanted to steer clear of him, but only if he left her alone. He pushed her against a pillar, turning her to one of the secluded corners, making sure that no one could see the two of them together. He didn’t want any scandal in the musical.
He pressed his fingers against her back and pulled her closer to himself, their breaths almost mingling in the space in between. Despite what he tried, he was unable to break this girl’s overconfidence and he hated it. He wasn’t just going to let her spill out secrets to his mother. He’d joined in later for the musical, but he’d noticed her since then. When the lights had fallen on her, with a subtle shade of reds reflecting on her, he’d stared at her for a long second, looking at the magic she held in that confidence of hers. However, that confidence was also what he wanted to break.
Vansh: What were you trying to tell Ma?
Riddhima: I thought you’d know, Mr. Singhania. After all, that’s why you’d to come running from some unseen corner, right?
Vansh tightened his hold on her and pulled her closer. Her words infuriated her, boiling the blood within him, but as he looked at her closely, there was something so hypnotizing about her that could capture him in a spell. And he was almost caught, willing to stare at her for the entire evening, but when he heard the approaching footsteps, he stepped away so quickly that it all seemed like a dream.
Ishani: Vansh, what are you doing here?
Vansh: Nothing as such. We (looking at Riddhima) were just talking. Do you mind showing her around, Ishani?
Ishani didn’t want to, but her twin had almost run away from there, without listening to her response. She turned around toward Riddhima and clenched her face subtly. She didn’t know what Vansh had liked in her, because she clearly didn’t like anything about her.
Riddhima: You can let it be. I can find myself company, it’s no problem.
This was what Ishani didn’t like about her – her ego and arrogance. She, clearly, held too much of it and considered herself very valuable.
Ishani: You could, but since you’re our guest, I guess I can do this much.
Riddhima nodded her head and walked beside her, wanting an excuse to rid herself from the company of the Raisinghanias. She needed some time alone to think and reflect on that minute of closeness. That man was gorgeously handsome – it was a fact she’d known from the first day, but she wasn’t. Yet, he’d looked at her in a way that had made her feel beautiful from inside. It was weird, because she still despised the man just as much, but his stare had just seemed . . . different.
“Hi, Ishani! I’ve been looking around for you.”
Ishani: So sorry for leaving you in between. I just saw Vansh, so…
Riddhima (looking up): Angre Sir, you here?
Angre: Riddhima? What’re you doing here?
Ishani: Oh, she is…
Vansh placed his forearm around Riddhima’s waist and looked at Angre, the emotions in his eyes diluting. “She’s my to-be-wife.”
Angre looked at Vansh in shock, disbelieving his words. He’d heard of the proposal that had been arranged for Vansh, but he was sure, the name wasn’t ‘Riddhima’. He’d have remembered otherwise and would’ve made it on time the other day.
Riddhima looked up at him in shock, hating the way his overconfidence had slipped past his lips. How dare he call her his to-be-wife? She wasn’t going to marry him, regardless of what he did, and that was final. For a man to get married, he was way too egoistic and she didn’t like that. He might assume his authoritative nature was very attractive, but to her, it felt like some sort of prison she wasn’t ready to be caged in.
Angre: I guess, I’ll see you guys around. Come, Ishani.
As the two of them walked away, Riddhima moved away from his hold and stared at him in disbelief and anger. How dare he announce of a relation between them without her consent? She’d clearly told him several times that she wasn’t going to bear his ill demands, but he didn’t seem to understand. She decided, she needed to teach him a lesson, regardless of what happened. He’d begun thinking of himself too highly.
————
She looked at him over the distance after the musical performance had gotten over. She couldn’t believe he wanted to marry her so desperately. For the last one hour, whenever she’d looked up, she’d seen him flirting with some or the woman from the crowd. If he’d thought, she’d marry a man like him out of every other possible miracle that could’ve had happened, he was very wrong. She needed to know just one weakness of his to rim him apart into shreds and she’d win.
She stared at him as he placed feathery kisses on Shravya’s hand and shook her head at his flirtatious behaviour. She’d heard several rumours of the two of them dating previously, but seeing them now, she was sure it was probably nothing more than a mere publicity stunt or fling. If that flirtatious behaviour of his could win over her, Shravya really needed to up her game. He was definitely praising her for her performance, telling her that the tunes she went wrong at still sounded so majestic.
She shook her head and got up to find herself an empty room to relax. She’d borne hours of entertainment and she didn’t need any other dosage. Rather, if she could stumble across something that’d provide her an evidence against ‘the eligible bachelor’, she’d find the evening worth it, at least.
She walked into a study on the same floor and shut the door behind herself. The room had seemed cosy right from the beginning her eyes had fallen on it, and it was the perfect place to relax, away from the noise of the musical. She looked around at the wall-length shelves in the study and ran her fingers through the spines of the books.
Moments later, when she heard the sound of the turning of the lock, she widened her gaze and quickly hid behind the couch pushed against the wall. She wasn’t trespassing, of course, but she didn’t want to embarrass herself in a house full of people. Although, when she heard the soft gushing near the door, she looked out for the ones entering the room and she couldn’t believe her fate anymore.
Out of all the people who were present in the musical, she had to be stuck with Shravya and Vansh Raisinghania. She mentally berated herself for ever thinking of relaxing in this mansion. Rather, she could’ve told her mother that she wasn’t feeling well and they could’ve returned home.
Vansh: Come inside, Shravya.
Riddhima waited for several moments, hoping they’d leave from the room soon, but instead they’d begun relaxing themselves in the cosiness of the study, sipping the drink Vansh had generously offered her. She sighed and leaned against the couch, realising that she’d have to wait longer than she’d thought of.
Although, as Vansh stood up and laced his fingers with Shravya’s, trying to romance her, she couldn’t bear it in herself anymore. She wasn’t going to sit there and witness them romancing in front of her. Seconds later, she stood up and cleared her throat, trying to enlighten the two of them about her presence in the room.
Vansh (slowly looking up): Ah, Ms. Goenka! I was just waiting for you to bless us with your presence.
And Riddhima clenched onto the couch, digging her nails into the leatherette of the furniture. How the h’ck did he even know she was present there, inside the study?
