Due to the massive surge in coronavirus cases, a lot of restrictions have been imposed in Maharashtra. Because of this, many TV shows have moved their base to a different city temporarily.
A new addition to this list is Choti Sarrdaarni. In a recent interview with ETimes, Kratika Senger opens up on her experience of shooting in a bio-bubble, she said, “We are putting up at a hotel in Delhi and have created a bio bubble. That means that all of us cannot step out of the hotel. We have made arrangements for the shoot inside the hotel. It is over a 10-day shoot schedule.”
She added, “We were mentally prepared for a lockdown in Mumbai, but didn’t know the dates. The day the lockdown was announced (on April 13), we got just one day to shoot and we tried to shoot as many episodes as we could. We shot episodes for that week’s telecast. We had planned to come to Delhi and the entire cast and crew came here. We started shooting on April 17. I came a day later as I was unwell, I had a bad cold and cough. I had to get a COVID test done – we get it done every 10 days while shooting. I will be in Delhi for another 10 days.”
When asked if the curfew will further affect the shoot, she said, “For the time being, we are continuing with the shoot. Since there are less than 40 people shooting and staying inside the hotel, I think we can continue. However, things may change in the next couple of days.”
