The times are tough and very often are we hearing the news of shows going off air. We have read about shows relocating their sets and now there are many shows which will be pulled off air due to the hardships.
One of those shows to recently join this brigade is Sab TV’s Tera Yaar Hoon Main. The show waited for a while unlike many others to judge the situation. Many sets which moved to GOA will now be relocating to Mumbai after an even stricter lockdown was imposed in Goa. For Tera Yaar Hoon Main, the sets will be moving to Rajkot Gujarat.
However, actor Rajendra Chawla, who plays the protagonists’ father and grandfather has decided to not join the cast. Since he has concerns about safety issues, he decided to opt out of shooting outdoors.
Talking about it with ETimes, Chawla said, “My family was not comfortable with the idea of relocating to Rajkot; they found it unsafe. They felt that with the cases rising, I should opt out, stay at home and follow safety protocols.”
He will also be seen in upcoming film Loop Lapeta and he managed for the same saying, “I also had to shoot for some parts of the film and I finished that in Mumbai. After that my family insisted that I should stay at home during the pandemic. I can understand their concerns, so even though I will miss my work, I feel I should take precautions.”
It isn’t just Chawla but other senior actors like Arvind Vaidya and Swati Chitnis have also opted to not shoot outdoors.
