#RIANSH – A CUTE LOVE STORY – Episode – 85 – Past Continues (2)

Episode starts with…

Angre (panic): Vansh …. Vansh put all your energy and we have to pull this chair out to a safe spot before that acid falls over Chachi.

I was confused about what that toxin was or what that acid was but seeing Angre’s afraid and worried face, I didn’t feel like delaying and my only aim was to pull Chachi off that vicinity before that so-called acid fell over her. I and Angre put all our strength and started pulling the chair but all our efforts went in vain. Still, we didn’t accept defeat and put all our efforts once again and all this while Kabir was laughing like a lunatic. And then

Kabir (anger): ENOUGH!!!! You tried a lot now not anymore.

He clicked the remote and we lift our head up to see the bucket tilting and about to fall, with all our efforts in a go we pulled the chair and we trio fell off the ground when we turned to see the acid falling on the ropes there and the ropes burning in a go. Seeing that Chachi freaked and let a shriek. I hugged her instantly to comfort her but that comfort didn’t seem to last as Kabir came in rage and kicked me followed by some punches. All that while I didn’t raise my hand on him as I still considered him my brother but after a certain extent I couldn’t hold back my rage and started hitting him with all my strength. I didn’t give him a chance to overpower me. Our that blo*dy fight lasted for over 10mins and might have continued until he was dead but chachi’s loud cry stopped my punches over him

Chachi (shout): STOP!!!!!!!

I turned to find her losing her consciousness and I rushed to her side and saw her pulse and sighed when found she was fine.

Angre: Vansh we need to shift her to the hospital for further treatment, her condition is worsening and the toxin is dangerous

I nodded and turned to find Kabir totally injured with many bruises and injuries with blood oozing. He was semi-conscious.

Me: Kabir, am not dragging you to the police just because you are my brother and Chachi loves you. I can’t hurt her. But that doesn’t mean you’ll enter the house once again. Am leaving you only for Chachi but if at all I find you around my family again then none can save you from my wrath. (warning)

We left the place along with Chachi still bound to the chair. Angre drove to the hospital soon and the doctors took her to the OT. Later we called all the family to the hospital and informed them of all the happenings and Kabir’s truth. Chachu collapsed of how grave mistake he committed by bringing Kabir home for Chachi and accepting him as his son before learning his truth. All were equally shocked. After few hours which felt a decade, the doctors came out of OT

Me: Doc, how’s she?

Doc: Mr. Rai Singhania, we did save her but her condition is critical still. She was injected with Neurotoxin on her neck and the C2 nerve on her neck connecting spinal cord was affected. If the spinal cord becomes compressed at the C2 level, it can cause pain, tingling, numbness, and/or weakness in the arms or legs, loss of bowel and/or bladder control, and other problems. Severe cases of spinal cord injury at C2 can be fatal because breathing and other critical body functions may be impaired or stop. Paralysis of the body below the injured region of the spinal cord may also occur in some cases. And in her condition, the spinal cord did affect and her exact condition can be spoken off only after she gains consciousness. The toxin was spread to her neuro nerves too and there are chances of a brain hemorrhage. If at all she doesn’t gain consciousness in 24 hours then she’d be declared clinically brain dead

As soon as the doctor left, chachu and Ishani fell off the floor. It was as if our world collapsed. Not even in worse dreams, we would see such a day in our lives and Kabir…. The thought that Kabir is still alive when Chachi was struggling every second to breathe was piercing my heart but I can’t even either kill or hand him to cops as I know what he means to Chachi and my one wrong step would lead to chachi’s sorrow which I can’t give her. That 24 hrs were the most difficult hours of all our lives. Sejal and Siya were consoling Ishani who was inconsolable; Chanchal aunty was with Mom and dadi; dadi’s health was deteriorating but she was adamant not to go home without meeting Chachi; Rudra uncle was trying to handle chachu who was broke and was blaming himself for letting Kabir into our lives and risking chachi’s life. We all were going through trauma to see our Chachi who was always smiling, laughing but that day she was attached to number of monitors monitoring her. Dadi along with mom and Chanchal aunty stayed in the temple the whole night praying for chachi’s safety.

Maybe God heard our prayers that the next day Chachi gained consciousness. Though the doctor has confirmed that she was out of danger, he gave strict instructions of complete bed rest and care for her. The next day when she was a bit fine and full conscious she asked about Kabir and I informed her about not handing him to cops and she sighed, after all, she was his mother. She was broken of his thoughts on her and her that husband who filled her sons ears against her. She used to cry for Kabir’s hatred for her. After few days we shifted her back to RS Mansion not before asking the hospital to arrange a nurse for chachi’s care. Though Chachi was back home, she was in Kabir’s thoughts all the while. After 2 days a girl came to the mansion,

Me: Yes?

: Sir, am Ragini. I was sent by the hospital authorities for taking care of Mrs. Rai Singhania

I led her to chachi’s room. She examined her and stayed by her side always taking care of Chachi. After a month Chachi was totally fine. She was once again smiling and laughing but still a corner of her heart has the memories of the past 6months but she didn’t let those memories overpower her present as she started living her life once again after all she has us all as her family who can’t see her upset. Everything was getting back to normal and we didn’t listen about Kabir all this while. It was as if he vanished in thin air.

Ragini was still in the mansion taking care of Chachi and in this while I started having a good bond with her. After some days when Chachi was fully fit and fine Ragini took our leave and left. I felt like I lost a good friend of mine as when she was in the mansion, we used to have many discussions on random topics and share our opinions. She became an integral part of my life, I started considering her my friend. Once she left, I felt I lost someone close. We weren’t in touch after she left. Life came back to normal. One day after around a week after she left, I was in the top floor of a restaurant for a meeting and then my eyes fell on a known figure roaming around the restaurant on the ground floor. I was curious as to who that person was whom I felt known. After meeting I went to have a closer look at that person and then when I saw that person I was shocked

Me (shock): Ragini!!!

She turned to see me and she felt astonished and excusing herself from a customer she came to me

Ragini: OMG! Vansh you here?

Me: Ragini I need to ask you that question

Ragini: Acha ok. We’ll speak but first, let’s sit somewhere!

We sat at a table and she got a cappuccino for me

Ragini: So, tell me what do you want to know?

Me: Ragini, how can you be so casual! I mean you were a nurse right then how come…. Here?

Ragini: C’mon Vansh, it’s not ki you have to do only one job! I am still a nurse but being an orphan and making ends meet is difficult so I have always done a number of petty jobs to make a living. And this is one among them.

Me (shock): But… I mean when you were in chachi’s service you haven’t done any such

Ragini: That’s because then I was a personal nurse to a person and my duty was 24*7 so I couldn’t back off. But now my timings are back to normal shifts and I have time to earn my living and do as many jobs as I want

Me: Can… can I help you in any manner? (hesitating)

Ragini: NO!!! I mean I understand as a friend you are worried and want to help me but am sorry Vansh, I can’t take any help from you. Am happy the way I am and I’d like to be such. All these years I have sustained my life and will do further also

Me: As you wish. If you need any help then remember am here

Ragini (smiling): For that, I need your number don’t you think so (wink). Vaise bhi friends share their numbers and we here don’t even have each other’s contact

Me (smiling): Here take my card and will you care to share your contact?

Ragini gave me her number and since then we started having a convo regularly and gradually started meeting at weekends too. Months passed and at times she used to visit me in my house too and so created a bond with family too. After around 6 months of our friendship, one night she called me and asked me to meet her near her hostel gate. I was afraid as to why she called me at that hour, it was around 11 pm. So, instantly I rushed to meet her and when I reached there I didn’t find her and when I called her she didn’t pick my call instead I received a message

Ragini: Vansh turn to your right and move ahead for about 20 feet

I followed her instructions and when I reached there I found a romantic setup with many fairy lights and balloons and there stood Ragini. I was confused about all the setup and then to my amusement, she bent on her knee with a rose shocking me

Ragini: Vansh, I don’t know if I deserve your love or not but the truth is I fell for you thoroughly. Your elegance, your charm, your care, your pranks everything amuses me and drags me towards you. I feel protected around you. Whenever I visit RS Mansion I feel like I have a family, I feel like I have reached home after wandering around. I got a new meaning to my life with your mere presence, I don’t want to lose that never ever. I didn’t even realize when my feelings for you grow to such an extent where staying away from you even for a moment stops my breath. The life without you seems void. Am not even sure of your feelings for me but today I just want to vent my feelings out, I can’t hide anymore. I …. I Love you… I love you Vansh

I was speechless as I never expected such a revelation. I didn’t know how to react; I was in my own thoughts and saw her waiting for my reply. I didn’t know what to reply. I didn’t have any reason to reject her proposal. She was an independent, strong girl with an open personality and she got close to me in a very short span of time and even all my family members started liking her. So, I made my mind

Me: Ragini, this was so sudden and unexpected. But yea… I …. I love you too

She hugged me and I reciprocated her hug. The whole night we sat there under the open sky, talking. The next day I took Ragini with me to the house and told them about our relationship. Everyone was happy. We wanted to spend some time in a relationship before taking it further. Our relationship started on a soft note and she won everyone’s heart and at times used to stay back in the mansion at night. Eventually even I started having feelings for her for her way she handled every situation and she always stood by me no matter what. Time was passing at it was over 1 year of Kabir’s exit in our life and Ragini’s entry. We were in a relationship for over a year and in this span, we were engaged and this was on news too. Being the topmost businessman, nothing was hidden from the media. She started living with us as dadi wanted her in front of her eyes as marriage was just a few days away.

In those 2 years, many changes took place. Kabir entered our lives, hurt Chachi, tried to kill her, and vanished. Then Ragini came into our lives and filled it with happiness once again. After being friends for 6 months and being in a relationship for a year we decided to tie the knot. In 2 weeks, we were to be married and everything was set. Everyone was engrossed in shopping and all while I was wrapping my work schedule so that I can give my one week before to the wedding preps and the next 2 weeks for post-wedding. Then came the day I had to leave for Delhi to attend a meeting in one of my branch there. 2 weeks before wedding I decided to attend the meeting which were supposed to last for 3 – 4 days. The day of my journey came, I had a night flight

Dadi: Vansh, make sure you reach home asap

Me: Dadi, don’t worry I’d be back in 4 days and after that no work no office, only wedding preps

Bidding bye to everyone I left towards my destination. I used to speak to them every night. I wrapped my meetings soon and landed in Mumbai on the night of 3^rd day itself. I rushed to meet everyone and when I entered the mansion, it was totally dark, I thought all retired to bed but didn’t know why I felt the urge to have a look at them once before retiring for the day. So, I went to dadi’s room and saw her sleeping, and then I went to Siya’s room and saw her sleeping in an uneven position, smiling I adjusted her properly on the bed, and then I felt her body turning cold. I was shocked, I tried to wake her but she didn’t budge. Something clicked me and I rushed into dadi’s room once again and observed that she was sweating profusely even when AC was turned on and when I tried waking her she didn’t budge. I felt something amiss and rushed to find everyone and their condition wasn’t anything different. Ishani and dadi were having foam coming out of their mouth while Siya was the only one whose body turned cold. I did feel something wrong and I instantly called Angre and Rudra uncle and with their help, I shifted everyone to the hospital. In all this while Ragini was missing and I was afraid of her safety and asked Angre to search for her.
