Never underestimate the power of woman’s intuition.
Some woman can recognize game before you even play it.

Author’s POV
The sun rose in a pool of crimson and gold, spilling light all over the land and the white clouds. A light morning breeze was blowing across the road. The sound of the birds chirping filled the surroundings and this was enough to wake Riddhima up.
Rubbing her bleary eyes, Riddhima steps into the bathroom and comes out wearing a formal baby pink anarkali suit. After getting dressed up completely and picking up her belongings, she headed towards the hospital.
Other days, Sejal would accompany her but today she had an urgent work due to which she was at leave.
Riddhima’s POV
It was a wonderful morning with a beautiful breeze. Although I was driving the car, I could feel the warm breeze across my face through the open window of the car. The refreshing smell after the rain is something I love. Other than the petrichor coming from the quickly drying grass, there wasn’t any sign that it had rained at all.
After half an hour of continuous driving, I reached at the hospital. Parking my car in the hospital’s parking lot, I proceeded towards my cabin.
.
.
.
After the lunch break, I had a few patients to look after. As I was attending the last patient, a notification appeared on my phone screen. It was sent by Kabir, asking me to meet him at the park.
Kabir is one of my colleague. We both knew each other since my internship started. He is humble and sweet. He have a positive attitude and is generous as well.
But what might be the reason to call me for meeting him at the park?
Anyways.
Attending the last patient, I headed towards the park, but he was no where to be seen. As I was about to leave, I heard someone call me. I turned around but the next moment I was shocked.
Kabir was sitting on his knees with a bouquet of red roses in his hand.
“Riddhima, you are sweet as well as pretty. You are a very pure soul. You are as beautiful as a sunset. You might be thinking that why am I telling this to you all of a sudden.”
“The day I saw you for the first time, I started liking you. I like the way you behave with others, the way you interact with your patients, everything. But I don’t know when this feeling changed into love.”
“Yes Riddhima I love you. I have become addicted to you. The day I don’t get to see you, I go crazy. I can’t imagine a single day without you. Will you marry me?”
To say that I was shocked would be an understatement. This was something unwelcomed. I literally had no idea that this was going to happen. Taking a deep breathe, I spoke,
“I’m sorry Kabir. I cannot accept your proposal.”
“Why Riddhima? Why are you turning me down?” he asked sadly.
“You’re really a great guy Kabir. It’s just that I have no interest in getting into a relationship. I’m just too busy at the moment doing different things in my life. I want to focus on my career, my dreams. I just want to focus on me right now.”
He stood up and started moving closer to me.
“Please give me a chance Riddhima. I promise that I will not disappoint you.”
“I’m sorry Kabir.”
I gave Kabir an apologetic smile and was about to walk when out of the blue, he held my hand.
“One chance Riddhima. I promise that I won’t let you down.”
“Kabir I told you that I just want to focus on me right now. And leave my hand. Please don’t create an unnecessary scene over here.”
This was getting too much. I jerked my hand from his hold but he instead held my face and started speaking,
“I love you Riddhima. I will do anything for you. Please don’t say me no.”
“Kabir, leave me. This is getting too much” I said controlling my temper.
I tried to get hold out of his hold, but he didn’t budge instead started leaning forward. This is getting worse.
Keeping my hands on his chest I pushed him with full force and slapped him hard. He fell on the ground and looked at me shocked. This was what he deserved. He is not worth my politeness anymore.
“DON’T YOU DARE. Don’t you dare touch me or someone else without their consent. I told you that I don’t want to get into relationships than why don’t you understand. What is your problem?” I almost shouted at him.
“You didn’t do right Riddhima. You shouldn’t have slapped me” he angrily said holding his cheek.
“What! I shouldn’t have slapped you!” I said sarcastically crossing my hands.
“Yes! You are right. Instead of slapping you I should have broke your filthy hands for touching me” I spat venomously on his face.
“And yes, don’t you dare to force yourself on me or any other women. You men think that we women are weak. Women are not at all weak instead they are the strongest creature god created.”
“Never ever mistake a woman’s silence for her weakness. Remember that sometimes the air stills, before the onset of a hurricane.”
“Better remember the gift I gave you before misbehaving with any woman” I said pointing at the cheek which was now imprinted with my hand mark.
“You will regret Riddhima” he said gritting his teeth.
“In you dreams mister” I replied nonchalantly as I made my way out of the park.

Vansh’s POV
Stepping out of the plane, I took deep breathe reminiscing the moments I spent in my country, my nation, my India.
The culture of India is a blend of hundreds of distinct and unique cultures of all religions and communities present in India. The languages , dance, music, architecture, customs, religion and food differs from region to region within the country.
The Indian culture, which is an amalgamation of several cultures, spans across the Indian Subcontinent and has been influenced by a history that is several centuries old. Many elements of India’s diverse cultures have had a profound impact across the world.
And I am proud to be an Indian.
Getting inside the terminal building, I and Ahaan went towards the baggage carousel to collect our bags. I looked around to examine my surroundings.
There are long queues at the departures and there are many restless people waiting for someone who has arrived or is going to arrive at the arrivals. People are restlessly wandering through the luggage and are busy finding their belongings. Security checks are going on and some people are waiting for their flight in the lounge.
Collecting our luggage, I took out my phone to call mom, when I heard someone call my name. I looked towards the source of the voice.
There they were , my mom and dad, looking joyful as usual. My mother was middle-aged and same goes with my father, but still they looked great together.
They say that the appearance of beauty comes from the soul, shines through the eyes and tells of itself in choices of words and the song of the voice.
Same goes with my parents, whose soul speaks purity, eyes shine with care and words reflects wisdom.
Walking towards my parents, I touched my father’s feet. Though, I live in foreign but my values are still Indian. After giving me his blessings I was about to touch my mother’s feet but she engulfed me in a bone-crushing hug.
“What were you doing? I’m not that old that you will touch my feet. These gestures are for the old people” my mom teased my dad.
I could not help smiling at her talks. It have been years since they got married, but still their love, care and affection for each other did not fade away. Instead their relation became so strong. They were like two peas in a pod. An ideal couple I must say.
“How are you Vansh?” my mother asked me with affection filled in her voice.
“I’m absolutely fine ma” I replied giving her an ear-to-ear smile.
“Not fair ma. All your care for Vansh. Nothing for me?” said Ahaan faking tears.
When Ahaan was 12, he lost his mother. My mother took care of Ahaan as her own child and from then onwards, he refers to mom as ma. My mom hugged Ahaan as well and they both got lost in their own world.
“How was the journey my son?” dad asked ruffling my hairs very well knowing that I get irritated with someone touching my hairs.
“Dad! Please don’t spoil my hairstyle and talking about the journey..”
“OMG! Vansh!”
I squeezed me eyes guessing the owner of the high-pitched voice.
No.
Not now.
This was the last voice I wanted to listen at the moment.
“My journey was good till now, but I guess not anymore” I answered dad in an unhappy tone who very well understood the reason for my downheartedness.

Yeah, it’s high time women start taking stand for themselves.
Why to wait for a guardian angel when they themselves be the one.
