A week ago Vighnaharta Ganesh fame Madirakshi Mundle was in Ladakh on an all-girls. The actress shares her experience in an interview with BT and shares, “Travelling to Leh-Ladakh has always been on my bucket list and I am glad to have finally visited the serene place. It is one of my most memorable trips. I remember everything that my friends and I did so vividly that it makes me want to plan a trip again, soon. I believe when you travel, you experience and learn a lot of new things.”
Talking about traveling while the pandemic is still going on, Madirakshi says, “We had to follow all COVID-related precautions and protocols all the way before we boarded a super early morning flight to Leh at 4 am. We chartered a cab locally that we retained throughout the trip.”
She about the challenge she and her gang faced duiring their stay in Ladakh, seh says, “It was roughly over a week and we had a lot of places to cover. The most important part however was the low oxygen saturation at high altitudes which friends, family and finally the locals had repeatedly cautioned us about when we reached and started moving about. So we had a lot of fun but we also to endure some massive traffic jams along the route.
I joined an entirely random and fun group of tourists from Gujarat who were performing the garba on the road whilst waiting for the jam to clear up. We however ended up with less time for Pangong Lake.”
Talking about her winter burns, she shared, “On our way to Leh, we got stuck in a puddle and it took several hours to free the vehicle. The awesome surroundings more than compensated for our troubles but the weather was a bit extreme and I got winter burns on my cheeks that reddened me throughout the trip.”
