Imlie 24th August 2021 Written Episode, Written Update on TellyUpdates.com
Imlie cries thinking Malini hates her now and everyone thinks she gave wrong medicine to Malini, whole family hates her, etc. She walks away from home. Adi returns and calls Imlie. He then sees Anu and asks what is she doing here. Anu says he brought Malini here with so much confident and promised to take care of her, but she is resting ill in a room. Adi says she left Malini in a hospital and if she stops her evil ideas, half of their problems will be solved. Anu stands fuming. Adi then walks to Malini and asks how is she now. She says she is fine now and asks where had he gone. He says to pharmacy to find out truth, Imlie went to pharmacy, but he is sure she cannot change prescription and harm her. She says they always blindly trust Imlie and let her continue her mistakes. Adi asks to trust him instead and he knows Imlie cannot do harm anyone. Pankaj informs that Imlie left house after Anu alleged that Imlie will harm even them. Adi asks why do they allow Anu inside their home and goes to search Imlie.
Imlie walks to bus stop remembering family’s allegation and is about to board bus when Dulari stops her. Imlie gets nervous seeing her. Dulari asks if she cannot come to meet her and after much dialogues says she knows her sautan has barged into her house, so she came here help her kick her sautan out of her house. Imlie says she is right that they cannot get the ghee with straight finger and will have to bend the finger to get it, now she will take Naani’s help to handle Malini. Back at T house, Adi calls Mithi and finds out that Imlie didn’t come even there. Radha says its time for evening aarti. Rupali says they kicked a person out of house who used to perform aarti. Aparna says they don’t need her and Malini will perform aarti. Adi vents out his anger on Aparna and Radha next. Aparna asks not to vent out his frustration on her instead of controlling Imlie who must have gone out for an evening walk. Pankaj asks Aparna if she argued with Adi again. Aparna asks why should she and asks Malini to perform aarti. Malini says its bahu’s right and Imlie will feel bad. Aparna says she is her bahu and ask her to perform aarti. Adi thinks whom to call and find out about Imlie.
Malini is about to start aarti when Imlie returns and says she will light the lamp. Rupali gets happy seeing Imlie back. Imlie says its her right to perform evening aarti as per Malini. Malini returns her matchstick. Imlie with a grin on her face performs aarti while everyone pray god. She then shows aarti to family and tells Radha that she heard that people didn’t believe at first that world is round, but then believed it later; even she will remind everyone repeatedly that she is this family’s bahu and its her responsibility to protect this house from evil people and evil nazar, pointing at Malini. Anu asks why did she return when she had left the house. She says she had, but returned with an answer.
Dulari calls T family to come and welcome their samdhan. Imlie says answer is very strong. Aparna with family walks to living room and seeing Dulari ordering Sundar to press her feet asks who is she. She says she is Imlie’s nakli naani/grandmother and explains that she is Mithi’s stepmother and hence Imlie doesn’t like her. She continues her usual behavior and says Kalpana/Malini knows her well. She then irritates Anu with her greedy behavior, touching her jewelry, etc. Anu walks away with Malini. Imlie stands grinning. Adi touches Dulari’s feet and says if she had informed him, he would have picked her up. She blesses his and Imlie’s jodi. He takes her to show her room. Nishant tells Imlie that her naani is more cool than her. Imlie walks to Malini’s room. Malini asks why did she come here. Imlie ties her rakhi and says she will protect Malini from any evil and will protect her suhag from Malini. Malini breaks rakhi and says considered her as her sister, but she made a joke out of their relationship and hence she will break Imlie’s ties with this house like this thread and will not compromise on her rights.
Precap: Imlie dressed like Malini performs morning aarti. Aparna asks if everything will change if she changes her clothes.
Imlie says she is same, Imlie Aditya Kumar Tripathi from Pagdandiya.

Yeah, Malini looked better in the precap even in simple clothing. Imlie was looking so weird. SO, Imlie has revealed that she is not as innocent as everyone thinks. She used to hate this Nakli Nani who got her forcefully married to Aditya and shattered her dreams, and now see! How quickly she turned to Nakli Nani for help. Imlie is always looking for her profit while trying to come out as a helpless victim in front of everyone. It’s too clear.

Such a regressive meaningless show. I never thought i would say this but silsila badalte rishton ka was a far better show than this. Depsite the big cheat their, mauli’s character was well handled and she became one of my fav characters on TV. She was not too goody like malini nor was she ever pathetic. And the in laws over there were also far better. Smaller cast but much better story. And nobody ever tried to show kunal nandini as righteous or blessed by god. Here, the story is so so bad,i dont like even a single main character now and dont even read the full uodates anymore. I go straight to the comments section to see what others are saying…. 2 women/sisters fighting over a man who married them both. Yuck. Nobody, nobody, police, media lawyers… nobidy brings up the topic of bigamy. Everyone is busy whitewashing imlie as she is the ‘first’ wife and malini should go away because she is the second wife. Who made her the second wife? Imlie and aditya. Nobody else had any idea. Still… no one brings this issue up and senior tripathis have a problem only because imlie was a servant. The writers made it a city village issue,rich poor issue,with everyone worshipping imlie and to some extent mithi. Mithi is running around now, she doesnt need a bed rest and she still stays with dev? Anu is supposed to be okay to see the woman her husband cheated her with in her own house telling her imlie will get her rights? How can mithi have no shame to even talk with dev in front of anu. Anu was not always classist. She married dev who was poor back then but she changed after the cheat. But now anu and malini are the villian. Even dev is painted in a big sympathetic light. But anu is not. Hell anu even wanted to better herrelationship with dev recently but dev never really cared about her. Such a huge issue but the writers treat it so callously. The story of imlie could have been great if treated properly…. malini is slowly degressing everyday too. Btw, malini taking advuce from anu will he shown as bad. But imlie following dulari’s footsteps will be shown bold, heroic and funny. Dulari is ten times worse than anu. Numerous times she had wished imlie dead, had never even cared when mithi fainted from her sickness,and is the most greedy selfish person in the story. But will imlie ever be questioned for suddenly taking dulati’s help? Only malini is wrong for taking her mother’s advice. I am not saying malini is right but atleast the makers show malini as wrong. They will never show imlie as having one grey streak in her character. Although imlie does have them. She is two faced, opportunistic, naive, bull headed, extremely manipukative and stubborn. But whenever imlie shows these traits, the music or everybody’s reactions will be to show it off as comedy or right. Such a sorry excuse for a story of 19year old out in the world to make a name for herself.
Very well said @Dhara. Whatever Imlie does is justified because she is the lead and a so called goddess who is always right, but Malini doing the same thing will be shown as EVIL. Thankfully, we viewers can very well see every character’s ACTUAL side and don’t just believe what makers try to show and convince us with. Neither is Imlie innocent, nor are Aditya or Dev victims, and Meethi definitely not helpless. Same way, Satyakam and his crimes were glorified because he “cares” for his daughter, but Anu as a mother is shown cruel and heartless. The different background music and facial expressions for each character characters say it all. Open discrimination.
Exactly tara. The makers are not neutral in their portrayal at all. Depending on who is doing it, the same actions are either villainized or glorified. Same for satyakam and anu. One is always right one is always wrong. God knows what would have happened if anu had buried imlie alive.

On the contrary i like malini’s acting. Subtle expressions. Maybe as we, itv audience are familiar with overacting thats why we can’t appreciate mayuri. Take the exmaple of the movie Ghajini. Ghajini is not the hero but the villain

Mayuri is good n decent actress, she is doing her role perfectly, I don’t know why so many people feel mayuri is bad actor, common, this is her first serial in Hindi and she is doing better and she is also well know actress in Marathi as gashmeer.
Infact Gashmeer is more known in Marathi industry !
His role as Adi would have been perhaps a meaty one or rather a strange one but if you see his other works, you will be his fan. He did two hindi movies I guess…. One or two, I don’t remember properly. As for his Marathi films, I watched all. And let me say that seeing his past works, after a time, this cast of Imlie was released in which I got to know he will be the lead. I was primarily here for his acting skills.

Mayuri is famous too. She did one Marathi show as lead actress too I think. But I don’t know much about it but heard that it had an amazing storyline and themes.

As for Sumbul, it is her first debut as female lead. She just supporting roles till now, I think. Not sure though.
But yeah, I don’t know what people must be saying about Mayuri’s acting. But I love her acting. And sumbul and Gashmeer’s also. Especially I am Gashmeer’s fan here. Not because of his Adi role, but past roles. He always gets serious roles as Adi. But there is film called Bonus – exceptional acting I must say. And his character as Adi and in one web series called Shrikant Bashir which I didn’t watch, just had some glimpses, I think in that web series he had a more disgusting role than Adi. The criminal vibes. To be frank, I even like Anu’s acting. She nailed her acting as a negative character. I don’t think anyone will be a Competition to her. The way her big eyes roll out in anger. I just wonder how much her eyes must be paining after painstaking day at shoot !
Makers did one thing amazing, the cast is amazing and i love their of screen bonding.

Hi all, am I showing my age when I say that I think the way Imlie speaks to Aparna and Radha is rude, and also the things she does like this new look and her response to Aparna’s comment?
I’ve never spoken to my mum or MIL like that! Might rant and rave in private but never been rude to their face, especially not my MIL as my mum did not bring me up to be like that!
Imlie is the title character, she can never do wrong. Don’t you know!!
Ah, but then most parents and in-laws are not so rude and spiteful as they have been, and they deserve a suitable response. Few kids would be as respectful now anyway in the more recent generations. I am not young, but I certainly answered my mother back a lot if the occasion demanded it, you have to stand up for yourself and not let elders beat you down or control you. That is becoming an adult, not puppet.
@Silwni apply the same logic in malini’s case. The people who she trusted and loved beat her down. She is now standing up for herself. She answers back to imlie in the language imlie easily understands- manipulation and acting innocent. She has learned from the best, you see
With a pathetic background music and a dialogue delivery for Imlie,we feel, apart from the writer and director , every viewers can evidently see that the story is getting a response exactly opposite to which the sreial is moving. Malini’s love is stubbornness and Imlie’s love is blessing.what more stunts does this writer think of,destiny,blessing,seetha maiya,to justify a forced marriage and an illegal love.Every girl a lover or married person can connect only with Malini and never Imlie.

Nice to see a better side of Nakli Nani, honest enough to admit that her being there is for her benefit, but she means well, she doesn’t want Imlie pushed out and she really likes Aditya. Malini has turned as wicked as her soulless society mother and deserves to be punished. Imlie’s look is just to show up Malini, she will change to better clothes soon, it is just an act to get back at the ghastly showy petticoat saris Malini usually wears. I felt sorry for Malini a bit at times, but no more. Coming to her sarees, they are always simple, in neutral or pastal colors. She uses sarees in flowy fabrics like silk or chiffon. Her style is classy.
