The perks and influence of social media on celebs’ life can’t be denied in today’s era. Social media has become a big thing for celebs, especially over the last one year ever since the pandemic struck. Balika Vadhu fame Avinash Mukherjee agrees with it but feels that it’s necessary to draw a line when it comes to social media.
In a recent interview, the actor talked about it and shared, “Social media has been helpful for many actors to get work during the pandemic but I feel it isn’t a pivotal criterion for TV actors. The fanbase of television is very different than that of OTT. Having a certain number of followers is an important aspect when it comes to reality shows, online commercials, brand marketing, and looking at doing digital content but not for someone who has been working in the TV industry as their audience is not necessarily the ones who are glued to the online world,”
Avinash further adds, “Social media is a great tool to get work and to keep in touch with your fans but I’m a very private and reserved person. So when it comes to social media I have drawn my limits. I’m not there 24*7 and give out only limited information.”
When asked about the importance of having a backup plan, the Sasural Simar Ka 2 actor says, “While I don’t believe in having backup plans, I certainly believe in having alternative income sources. Most forms of arts can give you emotional stimulation but that doesn’t always guarantee financial stability. There’s no harm in working towards leading a comfortable life that allows you to fulfill your needs. I’m fortunate that along with acting I was able to write my first short film which is being appreciated by all. It’s surreal to see that your work is being appreciated by all.”
