Modern Cinderella Part 1

 
Dedicating it to my friend Revu who wants a Yudishter-Rani story from me.I wrote this story 12 years back.I thought I will repost it here for you.It’s a silly story,hope u don’t mind.
 Dhatri is a pregnant lady who is dreaming about her future baby.Her husband Balram sees her reading the fairytale ‘Cinderella’.
B:Dhatri…why are you reading Cinderella?
He chuckles.
D:Cinderella is my favourite story.I hope our’s will be a daughter and she will be as beautiful as Cinderella.
B:Sure…our daughter will be beautiful.Because you are her mother.
She smiles:She should be named Rani.Because she will be the Queen of our house.But her pet name must be Cinderella.
B:Very nice names for our daughter.

A sweet baby girl is born for them.But unfortunately Dhatri dies after the delivery.Balram passes away in an accident.Balram’s sister Ketki takes Rani with her.Ketki has two daughters-Chukti and Bindi.Ketki’s eyes are on Rani’s property.Though her name is Rani,she leads a life of a servant in Ketki’s house.Only her grandmother Raghupati loves her.Rani goes to a palace to work as a maid.

Rani is always busy with her household work.After finishing chores,Rani goes to her dream land about meeting her Prince.
The oldest servant Hema cals Rani:Rani…come for cooking lunch….today the Prince Yudhishter is coming back from US after completing his studies.
Rani is excited.She wants to meet him very badly.
Rani cooks delicious lunch for him.

Yudishter arrives.All are around him.Rani struggles hard to see him.But she is not able to see him.She feels sad.
Yudi eats lunch:What a tasty food?Who prepared this?
His mother Meenakshi:The youngest cook of the palace made lunch for you.
Y:Can i meet her?I want to thank her.
All are surprised as the prince wants to meet the servant.

Rani is sitting inside the kitchen.
Hema:Rani…come…Prince wants to meet you.
Rani can’t believe her ears:What?

Rani is taken to the dining room.She raises her eyes to see him.Her eyeballs are rolling on him.She thinks:Like the Prince of Fairy tales he is so dashing.
Y:Hi…your good name?
R:Cinderella.
Y:What?
R:That is my pet name.My real name is Rani.
Y:You have two sweet names.Anyways..your food was very tasty.I’m eating tasty food after a long time.


Rani is flattered by his compliment.
R:Thank you so much…

    Wow you post it so soon, thanks a lot for posting this one. Starting thread of cindrella was so nice. Rani dreaming of a fairy land, a prince then looking Yuddhishtir was so cute, Yuddhishtir thanking her and asking her name and she saying Cindrella and Rani was so sweet. I am so happy to read this , I missed this show very much. Thanks a lot

      I don’t know about all pairs , I knows Gopi-Ahem, Jigar -Rashi very much, Because I have watched SNS when it was first aired on star plus , I watched upto Jia Manik’s exit, then didn’t felt much interest , later watched an episode only for Rashi – that was her death episode . Then I never watched SNS and the show was dragged also very much. I know Naitik- Akshara, Saras-Kumud, Kunal -Siddhi also. But didn’t followed their shows much . So I will go for Gopi-Ahem, Jigar-Rashi Short story.
