The controversy between Urfi Javed and Farah Khan Ali is continuing to grow on social media. Not just fans and followers but celebs are also reacting to it.
For the unversed Farah Kahn Ali recently commented on one of Urfi Javed’s videos where she can be seen having a heated argument with the organizers of an event and their security guards. Farah wrote, “Sorry to say but this young girl needs to be reprimanded for distasteful dressing. People are making fun of her and she thinks they like the way she dresses. Wish someone would tell her.”
Now her comment irked Urfi who shot back at Farah writing, “What is exactly ‘tasteful’ dressing? Please define it for me. Also I know that U people don’t like the way I dress, I’m not living in a bubble but also I don’t care about people’s opinions. You wear something that has a designer tag to it, so it’s tasteful? Your relatives have starred in and produced movies where women have worn tiniieee tiny clothes in item numbers. Really that’s tasteful! and s*xualising a woman’s body for an item number, that’s acceptable? Charity begins at home. Peace out! This was really unnecessary on your part, Star kids wearing whatever they want is tasteful. Of course.’
Urfi added, “You Spoke about how people don’t like my dressing sense so I should change it. Wow, people have a lot to say about your family. Does your family listen to them and change? Star kids get trolled Too for their dressing sense, you would tell them too to change their style? Telling me to change cause the world doesn’t like me is so 80’s. Kal ko people will tell your kids that they don’t like their face so they should change it? What logic. This is what you will teach your daughter? People don’t like you, please change yourself! So not expected this from a lady like you! You subtly sl*t shamed me. I don’t see you giving the same advice to star kids out there publicly!”
During a recent conversation with ETimes Kashmera Shah talked about it and said, “I don’t talk about those who have a zero work resume and are famous only on Instagram and not anywhere else. I am building up a career; I am very busy making films that will make a difference in the world. People who are making their career by getting only spotted are not on my roster of career-minded people.”
She added, “I am sure Sussanne and Farah have the same opinion. I don’t think Sussanne or Farah would shame anybody. How would Sussanne and Farah know who these people are? I too don’t know who these people are, who are busy cutting their clothes and coming outside.”
In another interview with ETimes Rakhi Sawant also reacted to the controversy and said, “”Har insaan ko khud decide karne ka haq hona chahiye ki woh kya pehen na chahta hai. Big celebs wear two-piece swimsuits and sit on the beaches. Why it can’t be Urfi’s choice if she wants to flaunt her body?”
Rakhi continued, “It should entirely be my choice if I want to reveal. If I have a body, I shall flaunt it. If don’t have it, I shall still flaunt it. I can’t wear what Urfi wears and stand outside on the road. I can wear ultra-glamorous clothes in songs and scenes. But as I said, it is an individual’s private matter.”
Rakhi further said, “Urfi is getting publicity by her attires; she has now started getting work in the form of ads; she has talent. Plus, she is carrying off her outfits very well. Yes, her PR is good, but that’s okay. She hasn’t got work in Bollywood yet, but hats off to her; she designs her own clothes in the night and gives those cuts herself. And wait, think of it, even from the other side, doesn’t the media lap up Urfi’s pictures and videos? They post those and people see them, consequently, their viewership seems to increase. So why target Urfi, and Urfi alone?”
