The cast and crew of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai were recently shooting in Samode, braving the heat for a special sequence for their show. Most of the shooting was done in a five-star heritage property in Samode village near Jaipur. Lavish sets were developed for the wedding sequence and a romantic song was also shot in an old marble slurry dumping yard at Kishangarh.
Harshad talked about it in a recent interview and shared, “Yes it’s unbearably hot here -but we are here for a special sequence and since our audience is looking forward to this track, it’s worth it. The fact that we are shooting outdoor doesn’t matter, we are taking ample protection, and staying hydrated. As actors we have to sometimes physically push ourselves to do more than – I love my craft and enjoy what I do. For me what’s important is being appreciated by my audience, and the hardship that I have faced while doing a particular sequence doesn’t matter/ The locations are gorgeous.”
Pranali also added to the conversation and shared, “I am not used to working outdoors in this kind of extreme temperature. Thankfully, we are staying in a beautiful palace surrounded by lush greenery, so coming back to my room after a day’s shoot is something I really look forward to. Having said that, this is a beautiful place to be in and it’s been a fascinating experience so far.”
Harshad hails from a small village called Balotra in Barmer. Though he never visited his native place, he calls himself a pakka Marwari. “I grew up eating Marwari food, so it doesn’t matter whether I visited my hometown or not -Rajasthan is close to my heart, always. Kachori, missi roti, and gatta curry have been my all-time favorite dishes. You can’t take Rajasthan out of my life, this state is special to me.”
