Sara Khan on Spy Bahu going off-air; says, “Spy Bahu winding up in six months was shocking”
Sara Khan who joined the cast of Spy Bahu a couple of months ago is shocked by the news of the show going off-air. The last episode will air on September 30.
The actress talked about it during a recent interview and shared, “The news of Spy Bahu wrapping up came as a shock because none of my shows have ended so soon. This was the first time that rumors of it going off air started surfacing soon after I joined the show. I am used to long-running shows and all of them have run for at least a year and a half. So, I was kind of taken aback by the development, which seemed abrupt. The time slot of the show kept changing and I feel that could be one of the reasons why it didn’t enjoy a loyal audience. Ek time slot rehna zaroori hai for the audience to get hooked on. So, we somehow knew that the show wasn’t doing well. But as they say, every show and stint has a destiny of its own. So was it for me on Spy Bahu.”
Talking about her journey in the show, Sara said, “When the makers narrated the storyline and the graph of my character, I fell in love with everything about the role. The character was challenging and different from my previous ones and challenging. The production house and my co-actors were really nice. The last day of the shoot was quite hectic and we shot till late. We were extremely emotional and no one was in a rush to leave for home, as we wanted to spend more time together.”
She added, “I made some good friends and I am going to miss everyone. I will miss eating meals with everyone. Sab alag alag dish laate the and we would look forward to the lunch break to dig in. I will make sure to be in touch with each one of them.”
