Alibaba: Dastaan-E-Kabul fame Rumi Khan talks about his experience of working with Shah Rukh Khan in Pathaan
Actor Rumi Khan, who rose to fame with his role in the TV show Alibaba: Dastaan-E-Kabul is delighted to have had an opportunity to work with superstar Shah Rukh Khan in Pathaan. In a recent interview, Rumi shared his experience of working with SRK and said, “I’m happy that I got a chance to work with Shah Rukh Khan sir. Working with him was a dream come true. I still remember his warmth and welcoming nature on the sets. He is so professional and talented. One can learn so much from him. The positive vibes he carries with himself is inspiring. It was the experience of a lifetime to shoot with him for the film. He says one of his popular dialogues in a scene with me and that was the best screen time for me in the movie.”
“It was…’Pathaan ke ghar party rokhege toh pathaan toh aayega… patakhey bhi layega’ and just after shooting it off camera he greeted me ‘Khush Aamdeed’,” he added.
Rumi also shared that he never believed in limiting the actor inside him. He said, “I started my acting career with the popular TV show Uttaran, and later got the chance to act in Bollywood movies like Baby, Karle Pyaar Karle, and Ek Haseena Thi Ek Deewana Tha. But I didn’t want to limit myself, so I returned to television. I feel glad about my decision as TV gave me opportunities to essay amazing roles that are really close to my heart. I believe an actor needs to act irrespective of the screen. And even now while I’m essaying good roles in Bollywood movies, I’m open to taking up good roles on TV and OTT screen too.”
Rumi is also known for featuring in shows like Mahabharat and Ishq Ka Rang Safed among others.
