Ishita Dutta and Vatsal Sheth talk about their approaching parenthood
Ishita Dutta and Vatsal Sheth who recently announced that they are expecting their first child, are in Goa for a babymoon to celebrate with their families. During a recent interview, Ishita talked about it and shared, “We wanted to travel with our parents and since I’m already in my second trimester, and with Vatsal getting busy with shoots, this trip was well timed.”
Speaking about balancing work and pregnancy, Ishita said, “I finished my film shoots, so I could stay home in my final trimester and wait for the baby. Initially, everyone was concerned about me working during pregnancy. The first three months are usually very crucial, and in the first two months itself, I must have taken around 16-17 flights! But my doctors were very reassuring and my entire crew was wonderful. I thought it would be hectic, but I got enough rest during my schedule, I was extra careful and would walk slowly, I think after I confirmed the pregnancy, something changed within me.”
When asked how does the daddy-to-be is taking this new chapter, Ishita said, “I am very excited about the journey. To be honest, it’s still not really sunk in yet. The fact that a woman carries a baby for nine months and goes through all the changes is beautiful. Ishita is going through all those changes and she’s experiencing the baby blooming as well. As for me, dheere dheere yeh baat sink in ho rahi hai.”
She added, “Vatsal would be constantly on call checking if I ate, took my meds on time, or rested well. Also, I made conscious changes for example, I love coffee, but I stopped it for now.” Vatsal pats her back, saying, “These are the sacrifices and compromises that Ishita has taken and it is just amazing what all she does.”
Meanwhile, the super excited grand-moms have even planned Ishita’s diet and exercise for the next few months. “I think it’s a good thing to follow their advice as well as the doctor’s. I don’t believe that I should put on weight only because I’m expecting. As for exercise, I do yoga and walk a bit, which will help in the delivery too,” she shared.
