Akkshith Sukhija to playing an antagonist in Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 3
The third season of Bade Achhe Lagte Hain is all set to take off on May 25. The makers have roped in the second season’s original lead couple Disha Parmar and Nakuul Mehta to lead the story. According to the latest reports, actor Akkshith Sukhija, who was last seen in Piya Abhimani, has been finalized to play the antagonist in the show.
Akkshith talked about it in a recent interview and shared, “Yes, I am playing Yuvraaj, the antagonist. The story this season is completely different from the previous two installments. In the beginning, my character will be shown in a different light, and will eventually turn negative. That’s one of the main reasons why I took up the offer, apart from the fact that I would get to work in an Ekta Kapoor show and associate myself with a popular franchise like Bade Achhe Lagte Hain.”
The actor wasn’t even a part of showbiz when the first season of BALH hit the tube. “I watched the show and admired Sakshi Tanwar and Ram Kapoor’s portrayal of Priya and Ram. Being associated with this show is a feeling I can’t explain.”
Talking about essaying a negative role, Akkshith said, “I always aspired to play a grey character and I got a chance to fulfill that desire with Fanaa: Ishq Mein Marjawan. After that, I received offers for negative characters and I auditioned for them as well. The opportunities that came my way and the feedback made me realize that I could do justice to the character of the antagonist as well. As an artist, one gets to learn a lot and also enjoy the process. Who wouldn’t want to experience the best of both worlds? I like playing both bhola bhala and negative characters. Having said that, if it was not for a show like BALH, I would have thought twice before turning negative on screen.”
