Syed Raza Ahmed joins ‘Meet’ as the new male lead opposite Ashi Singh
Actor Syed Raza Ahmed has been roped in as the new male lead in the television show ‘Meet’. He will star alongside actress Ashi Singh, who plays the title character Meet Hooda in the series.
Syed will portray the character of Shlok, a lower-middle-class man who has set aside his passion for music to prioritize his family’s financial stability. He is righteous, ambitious, and mischievous by nature. In contrast, to Meet, Sumeet is not as independent. She was born and raised in a wealthy family and has led a privileged life. However, everything changes for her after marrying into a lower-middle-class family, where she faces numerous struggles and challenges in her daily life.
Expressing his excitement in a recent interview, Syed Raza Ahmed shared, “This is my first television show, and I am thrilled to be a part of it. My character, Shlok, is a fun-loving and flamboyant boy from a modest background. I started shooting a couple of weeks ago, and I am already enjoying every moment of it. I can easily relate to my character and will give my best in every scene. I hope the audience continues to show their love and support, as they have been doing for me and the show.”
The series revolves around Meet Hooda, who challenges societal gender norms and proves that women are capable of taking on any work or responsibility. While the show has entertained viewers with its dramatic twists and turns, it will take a significant turn as it jumps 16 years ahead after running for nearly two years.
Ashi Singh, who has been a part of the show since its inception as Meet Hooda, is currently portraying the role of Sumeet, Meet’s daughter. Sumeet is a romantic and confident girl, but she tends to lack focus. Having never experienced adversity, she possesses a compassionate nature toward others.
With the introduction of Syed Raza Ahmed’s character and the leap in time, ‘Meet’ promises to offer a fresh and compelling storyline that will captivate its audience.

Meet was and will always be about our lovable tomboy Meet and our dashing Meet A… the magic Ashi and Shagun created initially can’t be replicated especially during the Rajastan arc… they should have ended Meet on a happy note and started a new serial.
