Nakuul Mehta, Surbhi Chandna, and Kunal Jai Singh celebrate 7 years of Ishqbaaz
The on-screen pairing of Surbhi Chandna and Nakuul Mehta gained immense popularity when they portrayed the roles of Shivaay and Anika in the beloved series Ishqbaaz. On June 28th, both Surbhi and Nakuul took to their Instagram accounts to commemorate the show’s 7-year run on television. Kunal Jai Singh, who played the character of Omkara, also expressed gratitude to everyone for their love and support.
In Surbhi’s post, she shared a behind-the-scenes moment from the show where Nakuul (as Shivaay) asks for Surbhi’s (as Anika) help to expose Daksh. After the shot, Nakuul quizzes Surbhi about the significance of the day, but she dismisses it due to her busy schedule. Disappointed, Nakuul asks other team members, but they are preoccupied with work and offer no response. Just as Nakuul is about to leave, Surbhi and the others rush toward him and congratulate him on the show completing 7 years on TV.
Surbhi also captioned her post, “Aaj Kya Special Hai? 7 Years to Iconic Ishqbaaaz! Time Truly Flies. Cherish all the memories and people I met on this beautiful journey. Nothing can come close to the experience I had while being a part of IB. Every day on set was approached with so much excitement.”
Upon seeing the post, Nakuul commented, “Saaat saal ho gaye, itni jaldi” (Seven years have passed, time flies). Mansi Srivastava wrote, “Omg what a team it was happy 7,” and Shrenu Parikh expressed, “Pyaaaar” (Love).
Nakuul also shared a video compiling memorable moments and scenes from the show. He included the hit track song that became a favorite among fans, as well as the love song of Anika and Shivaay, “Ohh Jaana.” Nakuul captioned the post, “7 years of Ishqbaaaz today. Incredible journey with some incredible people and the most fan-tastical audiences ever. How does one even make sense of this love?”
Even Kunal Jai Singh, who portrayed the character of Omkara Singh Oberoi, posted a video featuring his character’s looks from the show. Kunal penned a heartfelt caption for the video, reflecting on the 7-year journey. He expressed gratitude to everyone involved in making the show a success, from the creatives and production team to the entire cast and crew. He emphasized that Ishqbaaz was more than just a show; it was a family that shared countless moments together on and off the set. Kunal concluded his caption by apologizing for any names he may have unintentionally omitted.
