Munawar Faruqui, the victor of Bigg Boss 17, didn’t shy away from poking fun at Aditya Narayan amidst the swirling controversy over Aditya’s altercation with a fan. Taking to his social media, Faruqui playfully tweaked the lyrics of the renowned song ‘Papa Kehte Hain,’ originally sung by Aditya’s father, Udit Narayan. His altered version humorously read, “Papa kehte hain, badnaam karega! Beta humare aise kaand karega… #AdityaNarayan.”
The recent uproar stemmed from a circulated video of Aditya Narayan at one of his concerts, leaving many viewers astonished. In the footage, Aditya was performing the song ‘Aaj Ki Raat’ from the movie Don when he appeared visibly agitated with a fan. Witnesses observed him seemingly striking the fan with his mic and subsequently hurling the fan’s phone into the crowd before resuming his performance. Aditya faced heavy criticism, with many branding his actions as ‘arrogant.’
However, the event organizer later stepped in to address the controversy, asserting that the fan involved was not a student. According to the organizer’s account, the fan persistently harassed Aditya during the performance, prompting Aditya to lose his temper. The organizer clarified that the fan was not affiliated with the college but rather an outsider who continuously stepped on Aditya’s feet and aggressively struck his phone against Aditya’s feet multiple times. The organizer further claimed that the fan took approximately 200 selfies with Aditya during the concert. Despite the incident, the organizer emphasized that the remainder of the concert proceeded smoothly, spanning nearly two hours. Additionally, the organizer mentioned that singer Darshan Raval has also declined to perform at colleges due to similar fan-related incidents.
Munawar Faruqui’s lighthearted jab at Aditya Narayan’s actions through a modified song lyric added to the social media chatter surrounding the controversy. The circulating video of Aditya’s encounter with a fan sparked widespread criticism, with netizens expressing their disappointment across various social media platforms.
