The villagers demand that Anurag leave the village. Anurag responds calmly, saying he understands they are being pressured to speak against him. He points out that if they truly had issues with him, they would have raised complaints earlier, but they never did. Some villagers accuse him of being seen with Durga multiple times. Anurag defends himself, saying there is nothing wrong because he loves Durga.
Meanwhile, Indira and Anant notice Anubhav preparing to leave. They ask where he is headed. Anubhav explains that it’s Bhai Dooj, and since the celebrations at home are over, he wants to visit Durga and celebrate with her. Indira and Anant sternly tell him he shouldn’t maintain any relationship with Durga. Standing up for himself, Anubhav replies that he is an adult capable of making his own choices. Panibai intervenes, reminding him that he isn’t so independent that he wouldn’t need his family in times of trouble, especially now when Anurag is in a difficult situation and Vikram is trying to resolve it. Anubhav retorts, blaming Rajesh for causing Anurag’s troubles and summoning him to the people’s court.
Anurag tries to explain to the villagers that his bond with Durga has existed since childhood. However, Madhav interrupts, questioning his words. Anurag insists that he has the right to speak and continues.
Rajesh, sensing an opportunity, turns to Vikram and points out that Anurag has just openly admitted to his relationship with Durga. He says he can no longer tolerate this insult. Vikram tells Anurag to stop talking and then addresses the crowd, trying to downplay the situation. He tells the villagers that Durga and Anurag grew up together and share only a friendship, nothing more. However, the villagers remain unconvinced. Trying to pacify them, Vikram promises to respect their wishes, announcing that Anurag will leave Kingsar within two days. He warns that if Anurag doesn’t leave, the police will launch an investigation. The villagers, satisfied with Vikram’s decision in favor of Rajesh, thank him and disperse.
Anubhav, undeterred, tells Panibai that he still plans to visit Durga to celebrate Bhai Dooj. Panibai objects, urging him to stay. Indira questions why he insists on going despite everyone asking him not to. Anubhav explains that he considers Durga his sister and feels obligated to celebrate with her. Anant, trying to prevent further trouble for the family, argues against Anubhav’s decision, leading to a heated argument.
Anubhav lashes out at Panibai, questioning why a mere servant would dare to argue with Savitri, the matriarch of the house. Panibai, visibly hurt, retorts that no one has ever spoken to her like this before. She tells Savitri that her respect in the household only exists because Savitri allowed it. Anubhav, surprised by her reaction, asks what she means. Panibai hints at a dark secret from Savitri’s past, suggesting she could reveal it if needed. Savitri immediately tells Panibai to stop talking about her past mistakes.
Panibai continues, reminding Savitri that even though her husband married her, his true love was someone else, which resulted in the birth of a child. Shocked, Indira asks Panibai if that child is still alive. Panibai confirms it with a “yes,” leaving everyone stunned.
