The episode starts with Ashokasundari informing her wish to her father Mahadev that she wants to live with Nahusha in her in-laws’ house, away from his duties as Devraj. Nahusha questions why she is urging him to abandon his responsibilities and asks her to explain the reason. She reveals that love is the reason and uses her powers to summon butterflies, symbolizing her feelings. She wants Nahusha to choose her love over his duties, but Nahusha argues that as the daughter of Shiva Shakti, she cannot abandon her duties. He assures her that their marriage won’t be affected by his Devraj duties.
Devi Parvati tries to convince Ashokasundari not to be stubborn, but Ashokasundari stands firm, saying that it’s not stubbornness, but the truth of her heart. Mahadev gives the couple the freedom to choose their path. Nahusha suggests they discuss the matter later, but Ashokasundari insists on deciding now. She declares she wants Nahusha to choose love, but she believes he will prioritize his duties. With that, she decides to leave, symbolically accompanied by butterflies. Everyone is shocked.
Ashokasundari tells Nahusha she won’t force him and asks him to come to her when he misses her. She takes her parent’s blessings before leaving. Nahusha pleads for her to stay, but she leaves. He confesses he can’t choose between love and duty. He asks Mahadev to stop her, but Mahadev tells Nahusha that the answer lies in his heart. He emphasizes that Ashokasundari chose love, and now it’s Nahusha’s turn to make a decision. Nahusha realizes his love for Ashoksundari and asks her to stop. He announces that he is stepping down from his position as Devraj. Ashokasundari and Shiv Shakti smile. Nahusha leaves with Ashoksundari after receiving Shiv Shakti’s blessings.
Indra, feeling threatened by Nahusha’s decision, reflects on the significance of being Devraj. In Kailash, Lord Shiv asks the gods to choose a new Devraj, and Kartikeya accepts the role. Shukracharya frees himself and decides to commit suicide. Mahadev stops him and comments on the unfolding events.
