Panibai asks Durga to go and call Anurag. Durga agrees and heads to his room. Watching her leave, Panibai thinks to herself that Durga will soon realize she is not worthy of Anurag.
Durga reaches Anurag’s room and tells him that Panibai is calling him downstairs. Anubhav, who is also there, says he’s leaving and reminds Anurag to come down soon. Durga insists that Anurag come downstairs. However, Anurag holds Durga’s hand and confesses that if he refuses this marriage, they will stop her studies.
Durga firmly reminds Anurag that although she might be living as a refugee in their home, she still has her self-respect. She warns Anurag that if anyone sees him holding her hand, not only will the marriage be called off, but her character will also be questioned, and she doesn’t want that to happen. Saying this, Durga leaves the room.
Anurag comes downstairs and sits beside Suhani. Panibai announces that they have some gifts for Suhani and asks her to accept them. Suhani agrees, and one by one, the Rathore family members give her gifts. Durga stands beside Suhani, helping by taking the gifts from her.
Anurag quietly tells Vikram that he wants to leave if the rituals are done. Vikram replies that there are still many rituals left. Meanwhile, Suhani’s family begins taking pictures with Anurag.
Vikram then asks Anurag to talk with Suhani, suggesting that they will leave after that. Anurag protests, saying he has nothing to talk about. To cover up the awkwardness, Vikram tells Suhani’s family that Anurag is simply shy. Mittal adds that it would be good for Anurag and Suhani to talk and comments lightheartedly about it.
Panibai turns to Durga and asks if she has no gift for Suhani. She then proceeds to tell Suhani that Durga was married before but her husband passed away. Surprised, Suhani asks Durga why she didn’t mention this at college. Durga calmly replies that she chose not to talk about it. Mittal makes a comment about the situation.
Anurag, clearly frustrated, says he wants to leave. Mittal stops him, asking how he can walk away while they are still there. He insists that it would be better for Anurag to stay and spend time with Suhani. Unable to argue, Anurag goes to his room.
Panibai seizes the moment and asks Durga to take Suhani to Anurag’s room. Durga agrees and escorts Suhani there before leaving.
In the room, Anurag immediately tells Suhani that he has nothing to talk about. Suhani confronts him, asking if he is not interested in getting married. Anurag bluntly admits that he isn’t. This raises Suhani’s suspicions, and she wonders if Anurag is having an affair, hoping it’s not with Durga.
Suhani presses further and asks why Anurag doesn’t want this marriage. Anurag explains that their families arranged the marriage without even asking for their consent. He points out that they are complete strangers and have no friendship or connection.
Suhani reacts to this, but Anurag then reveals that he is in love with someone else. However, he refuses to disclose the person’s identity. He finally asks Suhani if she still wants to marry him after knowing the truth.
