Misunderstood by all but one (Epi-2)

Hello lovely people!!!!!!!! I’m sorry for the late update……I thought of updating after lunch but I had a heap of clothes to wash……now it’s all over and my back is paining……maybe because it’s the first time……..anyway….I’m here with another epi………….do tell me your sincere opinion of the same……..

Today I’m introducing 5 new characters.
Akash – A business man. He doesn’t respect women and think they are a play thing. He is a play boy.
Samaira Khanna : She is also a journalist and works along with Radhika.
Samrat and Piyali Khanna : They run ad agency Bird Song along with Dilip. Radhika and Samaira work there too.
Narayan Uncle: He is a retired professor and he is the head of the advisory committee of “Periyar Hermitage“. This is the name of the compound withholding flats and villas. Rads and Sam live in one of the villas in Periyar Hermitage. ( Periyar is a river in Kerala.)

Radhika came to the living room holding a tray. She had put on a D&J INTERNATIONAL floor length anarkali suit. Top fabric was Georgette and Net of Pink and Cream top. It had a pink color bottom of Satoon. The duppatta was made of Naznin and was pink I color. The inner fabric was made of Satoon. In short it’s a very beautiful suit. (You can see this if you search for floor length anarkali suits for wedding. It’s a pink color suit. It’s very beautiful. I fell in love with it at first sight. I tried to paste the link but I’m not able to.) Her black kohl filled eyes and pink lips made an everlasting impression on the boy’s family. A princess they made a mental note. With a forced but beautiful smile on her face she extended the cup of tea to Akash who was sitting with his one leg upon another in a disrespectful manner on the sofa. He took it from her by intentionally brushing his fingers on her hand. Radhika flinched at his touch and looked at him making a mental note. cheap. Others mistook it and declared her to be a shy girl. After serving everyone she stood in a corner of the room not wanting to be a part of the uninterested talks that were about to follow. This act of hers pleased the boy’s family for they always wanted a daughter-i-law who is meek and innocent.
Akash interrupted the talk by saying that he wanted to have a private talk with Radhika. Left with no other option she followed him to the garden. After sitting comfortably on the swing, he started his speech on how his wife should be. Though she was irritated to the core, she kept mum. In short we can say that what he wanted was not a wife, but a robot who would obey him blindly without asking him any questions and who would have the value of the door mat in his house.
“If these are your views, you can look for another girl. I cannot make you happy by being your so called wife or rather servant.”,Radhika retorted.
Akash (smirking at her): “You should be happy at my proposal. After all who would marry a sl*t?????? Tell me Radhika , what happened between the two of you in Room number: 800 ???????”
Radhika blinked unable to connect to his words. “room number 800 ?????” she asked.
Akash( smirking ): “Confused ??????? I will clear your confusion. Room number 800 of Hotel ‘Blue Lace’ then occupied by Neil Malhotra?? Tell me Radhika what did you both do there for an hour to two???? “
Radhika smirking back at him replied with sarcasm in her voice: “Or rather tell me what you and Myra did in room number 801??? Or what you and Jessie did????? Finding it difficult to remember???? After all you might have have spend innumerable nights with innumerable girls right???? So it’ll be difficult to remember a girl in particular right?????”
Akash was shocked hearing her reply. He had expected an outburst but not this. He assumed that she would cry buckets for questioning her virginity. But she was behaving kind of weird. He just couldn’t digest it.
“I know you are shocked. You have met only girls who break down when asked such questions even if they are not at fault. I’m not one of them. Do you know why????It’s because I believe nobody can humiliate me without my permission.” Saying this she retraced her path to her home leaving behind a bewildered Akash.
Radhika entered the living room and found her parents in deep conversation with Akash’s family. She thought whether what she feared would come true. But her parent’s facial expressions gave her a slight hope. Soon Akash too joined her I the living room. Finally after what it seemed ages to Radhika they got up to leave. She looked anxiously at her father when they (Akash’s family) asked when (Radhika’s family) they would visit their home awaiting his reply.
“There is no need of it. I don’t want to take this relationship to move forward.” Dilip and Akash replied at the same time.
As soon as the guests left Radhika ran to her father and hugged him tight. Dilip too reciprocated it and lifted her up and twirled her in the air. The room soon echoed the laughter of the trio. Radhika closed her eyes and recollected a happy picture.

A little girl of ten can be seen running I a courtyard filled with trees with orange leaves. It is well clear that it is the autumn season. A young man in his mid thirties can be seen running behind her. Her chirpy voice and laughter filled the air. The little girl is Radhika and the man is Dilip. Soon he picked her up and twirled her in the air. Just then a soft breeze came by refreshing her and making the trees shed its leaves. Seeig this Radhika stretched her arms wide to let the leaves find its way to the ground full of orange leaves through her.

When Dilip set het down, she told him with teary eyes: “Papa, please trust me. What that Akash told is a big lie. Don’t you trust me??? I’m your daughter. I won’t tell lies because you were the one who taught me that it is cowards who speaks lies because they fear truth. I’m not a coward. I’m a brave kid.”
Dilip cupped her face and said: “Choti we did wrong by not trusting you. We know that our choti won’t do such things and tell lies too. Sorry choti. “Mala added.
“It’s ok Ma……but please promise me that both of you will never doubt me again.”Saying this she extended her hands. Both of them promised and there was a group hug.
Just then Sam, Samrat and Piyali entered.
Sam (with a pout face):” Chashni won’t you give me a hug??????”
Radhika:” Sammy, I was going to give you a teddy hug. “Everyone smiled seeing their childishness. Soon they all immersed in deep talk. After a while Narayan Uncle entered. Soon Dilip, Samrat and Narayan Uncle entered into their talks and Mala and Piyali moved to the kitchen to make Tea and snacks.
Narayan Uncle: “Ah today 2 gentle men will be joining our sweet abode. They have bought the home opposite to yours Dilip and adjacent to yours Samrat. They are not trouble making kids. I think they might be of Rasam’s age. “
Radhika and Sam who about to sneak outside at the best time stopped on their tracks hearing those words. They looked at each other for a second before rushing inside.
Rasam together: “When’ll they be coming uncle????????? “
They all laughed at their excitement. “They will be coming within 5 minutes betas. “, he replied.
Rasam: “ok uncle. Bye.”
Saying this they went out to the garden and made themselves comfortable on the swing with a lot of eatables and coffee made by Mala and Piyali and slipped into their own world. As these two were engaged in deep talk, they didn’t notice a car coming to a halt in front of their gate. It was a BMW. Two young men in their early twenties in dashing outfits and silky hair with cooling glasses adorning their handsome face made their way to home.
