Kamalanayani – an Untold Character of the Great Epic. (Episode 7)

By that, Kamalanayani has established a good relation with her younger sister. Now I am going to concentrate more on the main stream of the story.

After that both the princesses were performing on the Shivaratri night together. And Kamalanayani’s life was going with a yet no big important incident. But she started concentrating more on learning warfare with the guidance of Rajkumar Pradyumna and Lord Balarama. She learnt easily almost all weapons except the archery. She felt archery was a little tough even after knowing her atma-dharshan with Bow & Brahmastra in her hands. This toughness brought her more close to her soul-mate.

She was really good in sword-fight so she gave less importance to archery. But Lord Krishna insisted her to learn archery by saying that you can kill more enemies by a single divyaastra but not with a sword. This created a new interest in her mind about archery. Rajkumar Pradyumna suggested Rajkumar Abhimanyu for teaching archery for Kamalanayani. Lord Balarama and Lord Krishna accepted it. But Rajkumar Abhimanyu was not interested in tutoring a girl that too the princess. He had a single motive of preparing himself for the war (which may happen at that time).

Lord Krishna thought of doing something and make the soul-mates closer. So he asked directly to Rajkumar Abhimanyu that will you accept my daughter as your student. But Abhimanyu rejected that. But Lord Krishna was not in a mood to leave. He simply asked will you do it for me. Abhimanyu had no choice other than to accept. Lord Krishna said my daughter is a good student. If you teach, she will learn fast. So it won’t take more time of yours. Finally, Rajkumar Abhimanyu accepted it.

After fixing the teacher, Kamalanayani was informed. She was very eager to learn archery from the son of Kaandivadhaari Arjuna ji. So she was ready to start immediately but Lord Krishna told her that learning new things increases your experience which in turn might help you finding and fulfilling your birth reason (Janma-lakshya). So it must begin on an auspicious day.

[Note: I really love the way Lord Krishna speaks. He knows what is gonna happen. And he blends it in his words and kind-of foretells it to others. But they can understand only when the time unveils it. Do you guys remember in Mahabharat serial, Mata Subhatra tells that there will never be only one reason behind the words of Lord Krishna. I am a proud fan of Lord Krishna]…

So her training started on a Amavasya day (No-moon day). First training was about making a new bow and arrow. And after that he created a target and asked her to hit it. Because he wanted to know what all she knows. She tried but failed to hit the target. But he said that the position that you are holding is wrong first of all. He shows her using his bow. But still Kamalanayani did not position it properly & precisely. So she asked him to correct her position while she holds. But Rajkumar Abhimanyu did not find it appropriate. (Because touching a girl other than a mother or daughter or sister or wife ie, without proper relation was not appropriate act at that time). So he postponed the class to the next day.

On the next day, he asked Rajkumar Prayumna to correct her position. Upon knowing this, he disagreed that “What are you thinking about me? Teaching her and correcting the mistakes is your duty not mine. So I won’t do it. And on the other hand, she is my sister and your cousin. And currently, she is your student. There is no gender involved in teaching and learning. You can believe my sister also”. After that he left.

Without any option, Abhimanyu corrected by touching her hands. He felt it somewhat irritated but could not relieve himself from this duty as he has accepted her as his student. But Kamala did not feel anything bad.

Lord Krishna who was watching all this, called her and asked that do you feel anything bad in this. She said “Pithashree, I am true to myself. I am true to you. I am not afraid of the words of other people. I am here to learn archery. And its my target. I know that you have a very big belief on me and I know duty to save it. Its my promise”. Without any other word, she resumed her training. Upon hearing this Rajkumar Abhimanyu had a good impression on her. After that he did not see any difficulty in teaching her.

She learnt the basics of archery very quickly ie, within a month. And was ready to get the divyaastra-shiksha on the next Amavaasya (No-moon day). She started to learn them also quickly. She gain a good name from everyone.
