Hello everyone!! Thanks a million for giving so much love and support to the first episode. So I have decided to continue the ff and all that is just because of your guys’ love. Thank you.
In this episode, I have introduced a few more characters who are a very important part of the whole story. I hope you guys don’t get confused and enjoy it. Any suggestions on improvement if needed, are most welcome.
The episode starts with Naina and Preeti in a shock when they hear that they are going to India for the first time in their lives. “But don’t you think you should have told us earlier about it?”Naina asks in an irritated tone. “That’s what you call a surprise! Wait, didn’t you like the thought of visiting your family- Naresh n Beena (Rakesh’s older brother n his wife), their son Pralay, Anand n Bela (Rakesh’s younger brother n his wife), and their son Arjun.” blurts Rakesh in a single breath.
“Woah Woah! That’s too much information at once. Your family is huge dad! I wonder if we’ll be able to remember all their names. Please give us some time.” requests Preeti. “Anyways, IF YOU DID NOT RUN AWAY FROM YOUR COUNTRY LIKE A COWARD, we would have been born in India and wouldn’t have to memorize our family members’ names like this.” Naina taunts Rakesh who drives quietly. Just then Seema interrupts her, “Stop it Naina. Don’t you dare say that again, ever. Do you get it?” Naina doesn’t respond and starts looking out of the car’s window. “Listen to me you two, don’t create a scene in India regarding any of this. Behave like good cultured girls. Take it as a warning.” adds Manika. “Ha Ha. We would have been cultured if our parents taught us about any.” whispers Preeti in Naina’s ear who giggles at the same.
In The Flight
Rakesh, Seema, and Manika sit together while Naina n Preeti take the seats behind them. A little boy comes and says, “I am going via airplane for the first time. Can I take the seat next to the window please?” “Of course, we are quite bored of sitting on that seat anyways.” say Naina and Preeti in a moody tone. “These girls are so egoistic. Who will even marry them? I will pray for the poor boys.” thinks the boy while thanking them.
In Sameer’s school
As soon as Sameer enters the class, he is bombarded with tons of words, “Hi Sameer. Hello Sameer. How are you Sameer? How is your family Sameer?” the girls in the classroom scream. Somehow he makes way for himself through the crowd and sees Munna and Pandit, his childhood friends who rush and hug him. They say while praying, “We wish someday these girls welcome us in the same way too. Anyways, how are you buddy?” “Awesome! What about you both?” asks Sameer cheerfully. “Same here. We all used to visit each other almost every day during the school break but it still feels less.” says Munna. All the three laugh and chat when teacher enters and says, “Namaste Bachon” “Namaste Teacher” sing the students. “I am so glad that you all at least managed to pass the 10thexams and are sitting here now. Let’s see what will happen this year. But there is one student who never disappoints me with his amazing hard work.” the teacher exclaims. “Get up Sameer, she is talking about you. We all know you scored the highest as always. Get up otherwise she will keep on criticizing us for just being able to barely pass the exams” Pandit whispers in his ears. “Sameer, you really made all of us proud by scoring 96% in the exams. Everybody is going to give a huge round of applause to him.” tells the teacher with joy. Munna, Pandit, and all the girls clap for Sameer while the other boys just pretend to as they are jealous of him.
As the class ends, Munna says that he wants to watch the movie ‘DIL’ which is going to release next month. “AAMIR KHAN AND MADHURI DIXIT, OH HO HO…I Love Madhuri…EK DO TEEN” he dances. “So why are you discussing that right now?”asks Sameer. “It’s just a deadline because I know we all are out of pocket money. So we need to start collecting money. DO YOU EVEN KNOW THAT A SINGLE MOVIE TICKET COSTS 8 RUPEES NOW INSTEAD OF 6? I wonder if it is a movie ticket or an airplane ticket?” Sameer and Pandit laugh at Munna’s frustration regarding money.
AT DELHI AIRPORT
“It is so hot in India and why did we land on Delhi Airport if we are going to Jaipur?” asks Preeti in a frustrated mood. Seema replies, “There is no International Airport in Jaipur. So we will go by taxi now.” “What? Are you serious? I am going back to London. I don’t want to sit in a Taxi for so long.” shouts Naina. “You can’t go back to London without an adult along and we can take a public bus or train if that suits you.” tells Manika being sarcastic. Hearing of the public transport, Naina quickly asks while looking at the taxi driver. “Hey Taxi. How much will you take for Jaipur?” Rakesh laughs at Naina’s reaction.
AT RAKESH’S FAMILY’S HOUSE IN JAIPUR
“This house is smaller than ours. How will we adjust here?” asks Naina. “Just stay quiet and move.” says Seema. The whole family is standing at the entrance with a Pooja Thaali and Flowers in their hands to welcome them. “I can’t believe this. Are they welcoming a groom or a minister with so many arrangements?” whispers Preeti. “Will you both just shut your mouths for some time?” scolds Rakesh. “Ohhkkkk” reply Naina and Preeti as they open their mouths big to yawn and ignore their dad.
Everybody welcomes them by doing their tilak and serving sweets. “This is too much. I KNOW THEY WANT A PART OF OUR PROPERTY THAT’S WHY THEY ARE BEING SO NICE TO US.” murmers Naina in Preeti’s ears. Preeti nods silently.
“How are you, brother? We are meeting after 17 years.” ask Anand and Bela (Rakesh’s younger brother n his wife). “I missed you all” replies Rakesh. “You could have at least tried to come back and visit us in so many years. You just left in a hurry and did not turn back.” says Beena (Rakesh’s older sister in law). Before she could taunt Rakesh any further, her husband stops her by diverting the topic. Meanwhile Naina and Preeti smirk on her comment. “I like this woman” gossips Naina and Preeti agrees. Everyone comes in and start chatting with each other while Naina and Preeti try to avoid being a part of the conversation. They are reluctant to answer their cousins’ questions including their lifestyle and facilities in London but they talk just for their parents’ sake.
Rakesh requests his brothers, “I WANT A FAVOR FROM YOU GUYS. CAN NAINA AND PREETI STAY WITH YOU ALL IN JAIPUR FOR TWO YEARS?”
Naina and Preeti stand shocked.
