The episode starts with Naina and Preeti standing in shock and screaming, “WHAT? HOW CAN YOU DECIDE THAT ALL BY YOURSELF?” “It is not only his choice. We all three came to this decision. You both have no knowledge about your own country and culture. At least you will get to learn something here. It’s just about two years and then you both will come back to London for university. You are mature enough to take care of yourselves. We will stay here till you both get admission in a good school here and then we will leave as we have a lot of business work.” explains Seema. “WOW! You three came up with a fully fledged plan to destroy our lives. And now you will go back leaving us here. We are not staying here” Preeti shouts. Suddenly Manika gives a tight slap on Preeti’s face. Everyone gets sad seeing that. Preeti rushes outside with tears in her eyes while Naina stares at all three of them and follows Preeti.
Rakesh consoles everyone and requests his family to forgive the girls and let them live in Jaipur. His family agrees but Beena isn’t too happy about it. Outside the house, Naina hugs Preeti and comforts her until she stops crying. They discuss how their lives have already been a mess due to their parents and how they struggled to be happy and now again their parents are creating more problems for them. However, after some time, both come inside the house and agree to their parents’ decision. Everyone is happy about their opinion and their parents think that the girls respect their elders.
In FLASHBACK, Naina and Preeti discuss how they will create disturbance in the house and behave ill so that Rakesh’s family throw them out themselves and their parents have no other option other than taking them back to London.
“It is so hot in here. Don’t you have an air-conditioner?” Naina taunts. “We don’t like to waste money on unnecessary things. It’s very expensive and your dad did not leave any money for us when he left years back.” mocks Beena. “Money has always been a problem” exclaims Preeti. Naresh takes Beena inside their room and tells her to behave herself.
In School’s Canteen during Lunch
Sameer and his friends go with their lunch boxes when some seniors come and start teasing them. One of them says, “Oh poor boys, they don’t even have money to buy something in the canteen, that is why they have again brought a tiffin.” The others snatch their lunch boxes and start eating from them. “Looks like you guys don’t have any money otherwise why would you steal someone else’s food.” says Sameer while laughing. The three start to leave when they hear a loud voice and turn to see their lunch boxes on the floor and the food spilled all over. “Oops! The boxes slipped. Anyways, the food wasn’t that tasty. Maybe your mothers need cooking skills.” taunt the seniors. Munna and Pandit go to beat them up but Sameer stops them and the three leave. “Cowards! Cowards!” hoots the canteen.
Outside the canteen, Sameer tells his friends to go and get their books to study. As soon as the two go, in the way, Munna tells, “I am sure Sameer will apologize in front of the seniors and tell them that he will bring better food tomorrow.” Pandit nods in agreement at the same. Meanwhile one of the seniors falls down on the ground after a hard punch comes at his face. He sees and his eyes grow big to see the guy is Sameer. Soon, all those senior boys are found to be on the ground begging for help. Sameer sits down with them and says, “Firstly, don’t ever waste food again. Secondly, all mothers are great cooks and you need to respect them. And lastly, we are NOT COWARDS, understand.” While leaving, he hears the canteen cheering loud for him.
In the Evening
Naina and Preeti decide to go for a walk outside and when Arjun and Pralay try to come along, they tell that they want some personal time. Arjun and Pralay get disappointed so they go for a walk separately. “I don’t think behaving ill with them right now is a good plan. We will begin once our parents leave so that we can tell them that dad’s family was rude to us.” says Preeti to which Naina agrees. “But this is true that India in 1990s is not developed at all as compared to London. No air-conditioner, no technology. And I asked our younger ‘BROTHER’ Arjun about television and he told that there is only one show called Mahabharat and a song show called Chitrahar that air twice a week. That’s it. No more television for rest of the week.” Naina tells and Preeti gives her an annoyed expression and says, “I don’t know what is wrong with our parents. I am sure it is like you said. Dad’s family dominated him so that they can take money from him as we will stay with them.” Naina smiles.
Meanwhile, Anand and Bela insist that both the girls should take admission in VIDYA MANDIR SCHOOL as they are the school’s trustees and therefore, the girls won’t have any problem there. Rakesh, Seema, and Manika happily agree. But when they tell the girls about it, they are highly disappointed. “At least we deserve to go to an ENGLISH MEDIUM SCHOOL.”says an annoyed Naina. “But you will learn about the Indian culture properly in a HINDI MEDIUM SCHOOL. It’s Anand and Bela’s school. You will be fine there. Please trust me” “Trust you? That’s impossible at least in this life.” think both Naina and Preeti and smile at each other.
The Next Morning
Sameer tells his parents how all the girls in his class attacked him with questions. Vishakha warns him, “Don’t talk to any girl, don’t give them any attention or any signs, don’t even think about touching them, and stay as far as possible. Ok?” “You should trust me mummy. I’ll take care of everything. And I go to school only to study.” “Good boy”, says Vivek as he hugs him.
IN SCHOOL
Naina, Preeti, Rakesh, Bela, and Anand arrive. While Rakesh leaves with Bela and Anand to fill out all the forms, Naina and Preeti look around the school. “It’s not good but not that bad either. And on top of that, it is Chacha-Chachi’s school. If we play a big prank here, we will automatically be thrown out. Then we will find a way to convince our parents that Hindi medium schools don’t suit us. They might take us back to London or at least shift us in an English medium school.” says Naina. “Do you remember you told me once that you never liked any boy in London.” asks Preeti. Naina nods in agreement. Preeti continues, “We are not going to stay here for long but till then, why don’t you look around for some Indian boys, maybe you might like somebody.” Preeti laughs and starts running while Naina gets mad at her and runs behind to teach her a lesson.
As they reach near the 11th standard’s classroom, Preeti rushes quickly and as Naina follows, Sameer is coming out of the classroom. Naina tries to stop as she sees him but isn’t able to balance herself and slips.
SAMEER CATCHES NAINA IN HIS ARMS AND THEY ARE LOST IN EACH OTHER’S EYES.
