A Mesmerizing Love Story Of Those Golden Days – Episode 9

“ENOUGH OF THIS NICE GIRLS IMAGE. NOW WE NEED TO SHOW WHAT WE ACTUALLY ARE.” THE GIRLS SAY AND JOIN HANDS.

“Give me your phone number. We will decide a time that suits all of us so that we can call and you are the one who picks up on the landline.” tells Naina and Swati gives her the phone number. “We will plan tonight and execute tomorrow itself.” says Preeti and Naina and Swati agree.

AT NIGHT

“We need to be rude to Chacha-Chachi at home as well in order to get out of this house and country quickly. I know they are good people but we are not.” says Naina and Preeti replies with a yes. “Girls, dinner is ready.” calls out Bela. “Lights Camera and Action.” says Naina and they both come out of their rooms. “What is it now? Why are you shouting so much? My ears hurt so bad.” taunts Preeti. “Dinner is ready.” says Bela “So what if it is ready? What if we don’t feel like eating right now? It is just 8 pm right now. You should ask first and then cook accordingly.” says Naina in an irritated tone. Beena watches all this from a corner and thinks, “How dare they? They are living in my house and taunting too. I have to throw them out soon.” “I am sorry. From tomorrow, I will ask and then cook. I did not know what time do you guys eat.” apologizes Bela. “It’s…It’s ok. We will come back in a minute” says Naina in a lower tone this time and takes Preeti along to their room. “What was that? We spoke so rudely to her and instead of shouting back, she apologized. I think we need to cross all the limits of being rude now.” tells Naina and they both go back and sit on the dining table.  As they see all the other family members sitting too, they start talking via telepathy. “Now we will definitely be thrown out.” signs Preeti and Naina replies while pointing at Beena, “If no one else, at least this woman will surely throw us out.”“Tinde ki sabzi (Apple gourd)!!! I hate it. I won’t eat this. And from tomorrow on, ask us about our choice otherwise we will order lots of food and waste money. Do you get that?” shouts Naina. Beena gets furious and stands up saying, “What do you think of yourself? I will not take a minute to call your parents and throw you out of this house.” Naina looks in Beena’s eyes without getting scared and instead and secretly smiles inside. “Who are you to throw us out? We will ourselves leave, just let me call dad.” says Preeti and goes near the phone when Anand stops her and says politely, “Why do we need to disturb him? This is not such a big matter.” Naresh scolds Beena and asks her to sit down while Arjun and Pralay just see everything with confused expressions. “I will cook whatever you like. Tell me what do you want to eat?” asks Bela and Naina who is totally frustrated by now says, “It’s ok. I will eat this.” and finishes half of the bowl of Tinde with four Chapatis. “I am full. I will have to walk for a while now.” says Naina. “Seems like you loved the food.” says Naresh. “It was not good but not that bad either.” says Naina rolling her eyes and starts walking out of the house with Preeti. “Will you two go alone at night? Don’t you have any manners?” asks an irritated Beena. “If we are two people, how can we be alone? And anyways, we won’t go far. Now please don’t ask your son to come along with us.” mocks Preeti and the two leave. “Are you all stupid? Can’t you see the way they are behaving? We should call their parents.” tells Beena. “Let it be. You go and rest in your room.” says Naresh.

ON THE WALK

“What did you do? Why did you eat so much? Now, they think that we loved the food.” asks Preeti curiously. “You know Tinde are my favorite, don’t you? And honestly, she cooked better than mom. On top of that, I had to say that I hate Tinde. Do you even know how sad the Tinde would have been when I said I hate them. To pacify them, I had to eat more otherwise they would come in my dreams.” says Naina. “Such a drama queen!!” tells Preeti. “Forget about that. What is wrong with everyone? I don’t think anyone except Tai Ji (Beena) has a heart. They don’t feel anything. Their reactions were as still as a stone.” says Naina. “Exactly, I thought people living in India were full of emotions, but they are not. Or like always, there is a problem in OUR FAMILY!!” speaks Preeti. “Let’s go home now. Swati will be calling at 9.” tells Naina and they go back.

“Can we take the phone in our room? Our friend is about to call. We have to discuss something related to studies.” asks Naina. Before anyone could say yes, Preeti interrupts, “Why are you asking? This is our home, our phone. We can do whatever we want.” and takes the phone along. As they sit on the bed, the phone rings. “It must be Swati.” tells Naina as she picks up and says, “Hello”  “Hello Naina, how are you?” a voice speaks. “DAD… I am fine, how are you?” she replies. “I am good. Did you guys talk about anything with Anand and Bela?” he asks. Naina thinks he is talking about the rude converstion they had with the family and asks, “What did they tell you?”  “They asked about your and Preeti’s favorite colors as they want to buy some new dresses and shoes for you both. Did you both ask them to buy you all that stuff?” asks Rakesh. Naina is totally surprised and replies, “No dad. Why would we ask for anything?” “Then they might want to buy those as a surprise gift because they were telling me that you both are so good to them and respect everyone at school too. Also that you helped an innocent boy too. I am so proud of you both. I am so sorry to spoil the surprise you both were about to get. Ok, I have to leave for an important meeting as it is still day here. Bye, love you both.” says Rakesh and hangs up before Naina could say anything. “What happened? Why are you so shocked and confused?” asks Preeti and Naina tells her about the whole phone conversation with Rakesh. “I don’t believe this. HAMARI FAMILY KE DIMAAG KA SCREW DHEELA HAI (Our family is crazy)” exclaims Preeti. “But they all are so sweet, except for that Tai Ji. Now I feel more guilty. How will we plan against them? But we don’t have any space for guilt or any other emotions in our hearts. Moreover, we are heartless. So let’s get into action.” says Naina and Preeti nods.

MEANWHILE, IN ANAND AND BELA’S ROOM

Bela says, “It was good that I heard Naina and Preeti’s conversation and told you and Naresh Bhai Sahab about it. If I didn’t know, I surely would have slapped both of them for such a rude behavior.”

IN FLASHBACK, Bela is about to enter Naina and Preeti’s room to ask them to come for dinner when she hears them talking about being rude to the family in order to get out of the house.

“You acted so well. I doubt if you were so sweet when anybody talked to you like that.” laughs Anand and continues, “We have to be good to them even if they are rude because we know they are just pretending to be bad but inside, they are good. They are just doing this to go back to London but we have to make them understand that India is not bad. If they try, they can easily adapt our environment.”

“Exactly. I am sure they will learn soon.” says Naresh as he knocks on their door. They smile and talk about the same.

IN NAINA AND PREETI’S ROOM

The phone rings. “It would be dad again. You pick up this time.” tells Naina and Preeti picks up saying hello. “Hello aunty. I am Swati. Can I please talk to Naina and Preeti?” Swati replies. “By which angle do I seem to look like aunty? I am Preeti.” says Preeti in an angry mode while Naina laughs. “Oh, so sorry. Your voice on the phone is very different. Anyways, did you plan something?” Swati asks. “I don’t know. You can talk to Naina.” replies Preeti and hands over the phone to Naina. “Hi. Ok, listen to this.” says Naina and as she reveals the plan, Preeti and Swati widen their smiles. “You are so clever. This is just awesome. I am sure if we do this, no one can stop you both from getting out of the school. I will surely help but I don’t want any credit for this because I have to stay in this school only.” says Swati. “Sure, anyways you don’t like taking credit for anything.” replies Naina referring to Sameer’s incident.

THE THREE LAUGH AND WISH EACH OTHER GOODNIGHT.

I hope you liked the episode. I am really sorry as there was no Sameer in this episode. But I hope you all understand that I am taking one incident at a time and writing accordingly. Sorry if I disappointed anybody.
