A review on Sasural Simar Ka 2

Hey guys! Hope you are doing well. This is my first article and I hope you will find it good and useful.

After the success of Colors popular show, Sasural Simar Ka, it recently launched the second season of the show, Sasural Simar Ka 2. However, there are no similarities between these two and SSK2 has a fresh plot for its viewers along with it retaining a few characters. ( I personally haven’t watched SSK1 and anyone who wants to watch SSK2 can go ahead without worrying for the 1st season )

When Colors launched the promos of the shows, they received backlash for showing women to be only housewifes and have no dreams.

But, after watching the episodes, it had some potential and was not that way.

The story is about 2 sisters, Simar and Reema Narayan. Reema, the elder sister to Simar, has high ambitions and dreams of becoming Ms.India. However, her father objects to all of this and asks her to get married. Simar on the other hand, is a kind and simple girl who has dreams of becoming a singer.

Next, the Oswal family is introduced. Jayati Bhatia, who played Mataji in the 1st season is originally introduced as Geetanjali Devi and does a cameo role as Mataji 2 times in the show and Dipika Kakar, who played Simar in 1st season, reprises the same role in the 2nd season too and arrives at Geetanjali Devi’s house on her call to find matches for her grandsons, Aarav and Vivaan.

When Aarav and Vivaan come home after studying in London, they come across Reema and Simar. While Simar starts falling for Aarav, Vivaan falls for Reema.

This is the end of my review. It is an amazing show and you can watch it.
