Aashiesh Sharma, a talented actor known for his outstanding performances in shows like Rangrasiya, Siya Ke Ram, and Prithvi Vallabh, recently shared a candid chapter of his career. In a heartfelt interview, the actor revealed that he was replaced in a major Bollywood project—a moment that tested his resilience in the industry.
Aashiesh disclosed that he was initially shortlisted for the 2010 film Action Replayy, which starred Akshay Kumar and Aishwarya Rai. He even took part in workshops to prepare for his role. However, communication from the filmmakers suddenly ceased, leaving Aashiesh in the dark. It wasn’t until the film’s poster was released that he realized Aditya Roy Kapur had been cast in the role he was eyeing.
This wasn’t the only setback in Aashiesh’s journey. He recounted another instance during the production of Ekkees Toppon Ki Salaami, when the film’s original producer, Saurabh Tewari, left the project. Aashiesh was informed that he would be replaced by Arjun Kapoor. In the end, the role went to Divyendu Sharma, further highlighting the unpredictability of the entertainment industry. He mentioned that there were several similar experiences in his career, but he has since moved on from them.
Despite these challenges, Aashiesh has kept a positive mindset. He emphasized the value of persistence, stating, “There is a space for everyone in the industry; you just have to be at it.” His outlook reflects wisdom and a deep understanding of the industry’s volatile nature. Aashiesh believes that complaining or blaming others doesn’t help; instead, he pointed to numerous examples of outsiders who have successfully made a mark in Bollywood, proving that determination can lead to success.
Aashiesh Sharma’s journey is a powerful reminder that while the road to success is often filled with setbacks, perseverance and hard work can eventually open doors. His story of resilience continues to inspire aspiring actors and creatives to keep pushing forward in pursuit of their dreams.
