Abhishek Malik on Muskuraane Ki Vajah Tum Ho going off-air; says, “Endings are sad, but I believe there is always something better waiting for you”
Actor Abhishek Malik, who essayed the role of Yuvraj Shekhawat in Muskuraane Ki Vajah Tum Ho, recently wrapped up the shooting for the show. Muskuraane Ki Vajah Tum Ho went off air on September 23.
The actor talked about it during a recent interview and said, “Endings are always sad. But I believe there is always something better waiting for you, with happy new beginnings. I wrapped up my shoots yesterday (September 22), and my character will be killed in the show. I enjoyed portraying Yuvraj, as such characters are very authentic and beautifully written. Audience can understand the growth and journey of such a role.”
Abhishek who made his acting debut in 2012 with Chhal- Sheh Aur Maat rose to fame with his stint in Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan and Splitsvilla 7. The actor also shared that enjoys essaying negative roles. He added, “I won’t say my role in MKWTH was negative. He just made a mistake and to escape, he was turning grey and later on turned completely negative. He has his good sides too, he loved his brother and family. It has so many layers at a time and I enjoyed essaying it. I hope some miracle happens and we can be on-air for some more time. The TRP of the show was not that bad, especially after the revelation of my character’s truth. It means the audience is loving my performance. If not this, then sure, I would look for new projects. I enjoy playing negative but I would love to take up positive too. I want to be part of interesting stories. I do my job with full commitment so will only take up a role that will excite me be it a positive or negative.”
Abhishek is also known for his role in popular shows like Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, Punar Vivah – Ek Nayi Umeed, Pinjara Khubsurti Ka among others.
