Actor Karan Pahwa was recently blessed with a baby boy. It is a moment of immense joy when a new member is added to the family. Today after his naming, he made an official announcement.He has named his son, Viraaj. In an interaction with a leading daily he shared, “Viraaj is a powerful name, and it means the ruler and the most significant one. I always wanted to keep a meaningful name for my child that resonated with us.”
The actor took a break from the shoot of his show, Ali Baba: Dastaan-e-Kabul to be with his wife, Supriya Rajmitra, during the last stage of her pregnancy. Talking about the ceremonies for the child, he says, “The Chola ceremony will be held in the first week of January. This is a ritual where the newborn is made to wear clothes for the first time and is also named. I will be returning to Mumbai soon after that. My wife and my son will join me in the next six months.”
In a previous interview, while sharing his happiness with us soon after his bundle of joy arrived, Karan told us, “I am on cloud nine. It’s the most amazing feeling…a feeling that can’t be described. I never knew I would ever cry in this situation. Holding my baby in my arms was surreal and there is no feeling better than that. I was super excited and also concerned about my wife, who was in the labour for eight hours. By God’s grace, my wife and our boy are fine.”
Karan has been part of shows like Balika Vadhu and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai among others
