Actor Naveen Sharma set to join cast of Kumkum Bhagya, replacing Pulkit Bangia
Actor Naveen Sharma, recognized for his previous appearance in Molkki (2021), is poised to step into the role previously held by Pulkit Bangia in the popular series Kumkum Bhagya. Interestingly, Naveen has a prior connection to the production house, having played a significant character in Kundali Bhagya two years ago. The actor expressed his delight at reuniting with the same production team following a hiatus from television.
Naveen talked about it in a recent interview and shared, “Following my marriage in March, I chose to take a brief respite from work to focus on my personal life in Jaipur. When the opportunity to join Kumkum Bhagya came my way, I had reservations initially due to my prior involvement in the spin-off series Kundali. However, after acquainting myself with the script, I discovered its appeal. In Kumkum Bhagya, I will portray the role of Krishna Kaul’s on-screen brother, and my narrative arc promises to be replete with intriguing twists and turns. Presently, I’ve returned to Mumbai, and my wife, a medical student, will be joining me here in a matter of months.”
Naveen’s entry marks the replacement of Pulkit Bangia, the actor who previously portrayed the role he’s about to undertake. Speaking of his aspirations, Naveen expressed, “While I am taking on a supportive role at the moment, I am aspiring to tackle lead roles in the future. I hold ambitions of essaying both protagonist and antagonist characters. Over the past few months, my focus wasn’t entirely centered on securing new roles, given my relocation to Jaipur during the pandemic, where I dedicated time to family. During this period, I also engaged in short-term projects. Now that I am back in Mumbai, I am in pursuit of a suitable apartment, as my wife is poised to join me soon.”
Naveen’s journey into the world of Kumkum Bhagya is one that holds promise, weaving his talents into the vibrant tapestry of the show’s storyline.
