This adaptation, featuring Sujay Reu as Rama and Prachi Bansal as Sita, marks Nikhilesh’s enthusiasm for portraying the virtuous yet complex persona of Bharata, the younger half-brother of Lord Rama.
Expressing his elation, Nikhilesh Rathore shared, “Joining ‘Srimad Ramayana’ is an honor. Portraying Bharata, the son of King Dasharatha and Queen Kaikeyi, who stands as a symbol of righteousness in the Ramayana tales, is a beautiful opportunity. Previously, in 2015, I portrayed Akshayakumara in ‘Siya Ke Ram,’ embodying Ravana’s youngest son.”
Enthusiastic about mythological narratives, Nikhilesh expressed, “I find immense pleasure in participating in these stories. ‘Vighnaharta Ganesh’ witnessed me essaying the formidable role of Lord Kamadeva. Now, with ‘Ramayana,’ I anticipate this to be a pivotal milestone in my acting journey. Grateful for this opportunity, my family shares my excitement as I embrace the role of Bharata. My dedication to delivering a compelling performance knows no bounds, and I earnestly hope for the audience’s affection and support.”
Nikhilesh Rathore, acclaimed for his appearances in shows like ‘Mithai,’ ‘Wagle Ki Duniya,’ and ‘Krishna Chali London,’ revealed that his aspiration to become an actor sprouted from his childhood days. Reflecting on his creative pursuits, he reminisced, “Acting was my childhood dream. I was inherently drawn to creativity, indulging in hobbies like painting and writing. I vividly recall scripting a theatre play for Independence Day during my 7th-grade years.”
Delving into his journey, he revealed, “Originally from Bhilwara, Rajasthan, I ventured to Mumbai in 2015. The initial phase was a mix of challenges and joy, navigating through the unfamiliarity of the city. From securing accommodation to locating audition venues, everything posed a challenge. Initially, I sustained myself as a fitness trainer until my acting debut in ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ the same year, marking my acceptance into the city of dreams.”
As Nikhilesh Rathore immerses himself into the character of Bharata, his foray into ‘Srimad Ramayana’ signifies a significant chapter in his career, fueled by dedication and a lifelong passion for the art of acting.
