Actor Ram Yashwardhan, who is known for essaying the role of Hanuman in the mythological TV show Jai Hanuman – Sankatmochan Naam Tiharo, during a recent interview revealed that he only consumed fluids while shooting.
He said, “I’m really thrilled about being part of the show and playing the titular role of Lord Hanuman. It’s really interesting to be part of mythological shows; the shooting style is very different from daily soaps. I feel a lot of peace and positivity while portraying Hanumanji’s character. Since childhood, I have seen my family worshiping him and heard many stories about him. I too am a follower of his. Since I have heard his stories as a child, I’m familiar with what we shoot on the show.”
Talking about the most challenging part of the role, he said, “I have to stay only on fluids while shooting. I can’t eat anything else as that affects my look and it takes hours to get back to the required look for my character. It takes more than two hours for the makeup artist to get me into the look. Anyway, makeup dada is always touching up my makeup after every scene. But as an actor, I’m enjoying such challenges.”
He added, “Apart from that, I have to really keep up with my fitness routine amidst the shootings. Every day I need to get up early in the morning and hit the gym before my shoots. I need to look fit on screen.”
Yashwardhan is also known for his role in shows like Ek Thi Rani Ek Tha Ravan, Chhoti Sardarni, Spy Bahu among others.
