Actor Shagun Pandey Injured on Shoot

Being an actor is not easy. It comes with it’s own fair share of struggles and one of those is the risk of getting injured while shooting. Shagun Pandey, who essays the male lead in Meet, got injured during the shoot recently.

As reported by BT, the actor cut his hand and was immediately taken to a nearby hospital. He sustained a gash and was given six stitches. Shagun told TOI, “I was enacting a scene and didn’t realize that a centerpiece with sharp edges fell on my hand and I suffered an injury. The cut was quite deep to the extent that it almost touched the finger bones. So, yes it was terrifying. I have got six stitches and was forced to take anesthesia though I was not willing to, as I wanted to get back to shoot immediately after the formalities were completed.”
He will now have to be extra cautious for the next few days. He also mentioned, “The doctors have advised me to be very careful. I can’t work out in the gym and can’t even fold my fingers. However, I am managing the shoot with utmost care. I am determined to overcome such challenges and the production house is taking good care, too.”
Shagun made his debut on TV in 2015 with Santoshi Maa and participated in Splitsvilla 11 three years later. Earlier in an interview with BT, he had said, “I always wanted to entertain people and perform for them. That’s how it all started when I got my first show Santoshi Maa in 2015. I knew I had to work very hard ahead. I am interested in doing all kinds of shows where I can perform. I participated in Splitsvilla because I wanted to be noticed so that I could get more work, and that happened. So my decision was right. It has been a long and interesting journey for me, and I have taken small steps towards my career. I worked hard for many years even before getting my debut show. “
