Tushar Kawale, known for his compelling negative portrayals in television shows such as ‘Barsatein – Mausam Pyar Ka,’ ‘Meet: Badlegi Duniya Ki Reet,’ and ‘Ali Baba: Ek Andaaz Andekha Chapter 2,’ is ready to mesmerize audiences once again. His next venture, ‘Kuch Reet Jagat Ki Aisi Hai,’ will witness him embodying the role of Jigar, portraying a character driven by overpowering ambition and an unrelenting pursuit of his aspirations. The show, featuring Meera Deosthale and Zaan Khan in lead roles, will showcase Tushar repeating his penchant for playing antagonistic roles.
Expressing his excitement about his latest stint, Tushar shares, “I am thrilled to be part of this show and delve into another negative role. My character, Jigar, is depicted as someone reminiscent of Duryodhana from the Mahabharata. This comparison was used during the narration to best encapsulate his persona. Jigar is deeply rooted in his family values and traditions, yet harbors a concealed dark side. He exudes a winning attitude, unapologetically pursuing his goals without any remorse.”
Tushar Kawale’s repertoire includes appearances in shows like ‘Molkki,’ ‘Shakti — Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki,’ and ‘Iss Mod Se Jaate Hain,’ among others. Commencing his acting journey with Marathi shows, he received acclaim for his negative portrayal in ‘Sahkutumb Sahaparivar.’
When asked about his inclination towards portraying negative characters, Tushar responds, “It’s not that I exclusively seek negative roles. I embrace diverse opportunities that come my way. My portrayal as Chintu aka Angad Singh in ‘Shakti’ set a turning point in my career, leading to subsequent offers for antagonistic roles. Despite my association with various shows, Chintu’s character has resonated deeply with the audience. Interestingly, each negative character I’ve portrayed has been distinct, with unique motivations for turning negative. Similarly, Jigar’s backstory explains the genesis of his demeanor.”
Expressing his desire for variety in roles, Tushar conveys, “Given the chance, I am eager to explore comedic roles, showcasing a diverse spectrum in my acting abilities.”
Tushar Kawale’s forthcoming venture promises to captivate audiences with his nuanced portrayal of Jigar, adding another layer to his prowess in bringing multifaceted characters to life on screen.
