Why is the female lead always draped in a saree or in a scarf or in shalwari? We live in the 21st century, give them modern western look! Obviously all these drapes are used to cover the body curves because India is filled with disgusting lusty males who will jump on every female passing by they find to be attractive. Make your women brave and modern, like Manmeet of Sherdill Shergill!
I live in a modern western country – USA, and I love your saree. In fact, the “modern western” countries are wearing more flowing long dresses like saree. Western countries are filled with lusty men just like India. Being modern does not make you brave. Regardless of what you wear, saree or modern attire you should/can be brave.
How many times you have seen women who are not Indian wear saree (as a casual or fancy outfit but not for some party or as a thematic event costume). No, men in western countries are nor nearly as lusty as Indian guys, unless you are talking about migrants from India or some other third world country. Western men do not r – word women, it can happen sometimes but very rarely, when the man is under drugs or has mental issues, but in India healthy, sober men attack women constantly, you can’t round a corner without being scared, even in crowded places men will look at you badly, whistle at you, make disgusting gestures at you. I’m not saying dressing in a certain way helps against 💩ty men with sick intentions but Indian women dress humbly hoping at least to reduce the unwanted attention from lusty males if not cut it out. And also to avoid being scolded by elders, as they will tell them they are not well mannered and no respected man will marry them if they dress in a certain way. With their clothes and appearance Indian women are hoping to achieve approval and acceptance from their society, cause if they don’t fit in the people’s good books their lives will be mace miserable
