Monalisa has returned in her Dayan avatar with the Star Plus’s ‘Ankahee Daastaan’. Her return is much appreciated especially by the fans of tv show Nazar. Along with Monalisa, the show also features actors Harsh Rajput and Niyati.
In a recent interview with India Forums, Monalisa talked about it and shared, ” It is the most unique thing that has ever happened on television. Our show was very popular and liked by all – kids, ladies, whichever age. Kids used to like it so so much, whenever or wherever I go they still ask me where is your lambi choti? So it was a very real thing with the audience and they loved the ‘Dayan’… Even though my character was a negative one…and till date fans ask us when is Nazar coming? So to make our fans happy, Star Plus Channel has come up with “Ankahee Dastaan” which will air the hit shows (one more time) which they miss the most.”
Talking about his return, she shared, “I missed my Dayaan kirdaar (Character) badly, my lambi choti, coloured eyes, those deadly looks, the way I used to walk, talk, get up on the tree, jumping from here n there, crawling on the wall… the action part wearing harness n fights, troubling the family…my dance sequences, my bathtub sequences (laughs), it is like a dream come true to be back again… i think it was everyone ‘s manifestation that brought us back again… the love of audience… it feels great… and this time I am more powerful…and doing khatarnaak things… people are going to love it so so much … and I very excited for this comeback ”
She further added, ” W met after almost 2 years… and we missed each other a lot. But it’s a great feeling to be back again with the same team, same co-actors, and we are having great fun on set as earlier, we clicked end number of pictures,, and we all have lunch together with healthy gossips, but the most I missed was our dance videos as I and Niyati (Pia) love dancing. We used to take out time during shoot and make videos every time on the latest hit track and people used to love it. This time also we are on and our dance video coming up soon.”
Talking about the roles she desires to essay in the future she said, “I have always wanted to play different characters, starting from my films where every movie I tried to bring a new character to the audience. I still remember when Nazar started no one believed I could do a Negative character of a “Daayan” cause in real life i am a very soft spoken kind of person, but everyone loved me as a Daayan… and that makes me feel so good…
So in future also I would like to experience n play new characters… which again will be a surprise for me too. In fact, I am doing a web series which is to be released soon where people will get to see me again in different kirdaar. Acting is my passion and I would like to explore every single character which even I don’t know that I can play and I am sure my fans n friends will love me the same way they have loved me for so many years”
