Actress Sneha Wagh on veteran actress Tabassum’s demise; says, “Industry has lost one of its gems”
Veteran actress Tabassum Govil (78) passed away on Saturday after she suffered a cardiac arrest. Tabassum has been a part of several movies and shows. Many actors from the film and TV industry have some beautiful memories with the veteran artist. One of them is actress Sneha Wagh who remembers Tabassum as a graceful host.
During a recent interview, she talked about it and shared, “When I heard the news of her passing away on Saturday, suddenly all memories of her came to my mind. Her show Phool Khile Hain Gulshan Gulshan also has some other segments that she anchored over the years, and some of the films that she has been a part of… I was thinking about that. I have some sweet childhood memories of Phool Khile Hain Gulshan Gulshan. I remember when I was a kid, my mother used to tell me to watch her show. Even though there were certain things I didn’t understand as a child, her grace and smile were something that I used to love and my mother too enjoyed watching her on TV.”
Sneha added, “It is World Television Day today, and just before that we lost one of the best hosts on TV. She was the original anchor, the first one we saw interviewing actors. The industry has lost one of its gems. Her smile and personality are something that I would like to imbibe. Even though I have never got a chance to work with her or even meet her, I really wish I had interacted with her once. There is a lot that one can learn from the kind of person that she seemed to be.”
