Aditi Bhagat talks about joining Udaariyaan as lead amid comparisons
Udaariyaan, a popular TV show, has taken a new generation leap, introducing a fresh cast to its storyline. Aditi Bhagat, one of the new leads, along with Anuraj Chahal and Alisha Parveen, recently sat down for an interview, where she candidly discussed her journey into the show and the sudden shift to Chandigarh.
Aditi shared her experience of landing the role of Asma in Udaariyaan, describing the old-school audition process that she underwent multiple times, including mock shoots. The rigorous selection process made her value the opportunity even more, and she expressed her excitement and joy at being a part of the show.
When asked about her character, Asma, Aditi mentioned that Asma is well-educated and uptight, in contrast to the other two characters who belong to more traditional backgrounds. The chemistry between these characters from different worlds is expected to add an interesting dynamic to the show.
Facing the challenge of joining a well-established show that has been running successfully for two years, Aditi acknowledged the pressure of being compared to previous characters and seasons. However, she emphasized her determination to stay true to herself and deliver her best performance without succumbing to the pressure.
Responding to comparisons drawn between the new storyline and previous character arcs, Aditi chose to keep the similarities under wraps, teasing an exciting journey for the viewers. She expressed her hope of living up to the expectations set by the show’s previous season, which had garnered massive hype and viewership.
The sudden shift to Chandigarh for the show was a significant change for Aditi, but she saw it as a fantastic opportunity for her career. While she missed her home in Mumbai, she embraced the new location and focused on her work.
One of the things she missed the most from Mumbai was her dogs, with whom she had spent considerable time feeding and caring for the stray dogs near her society. Aditi’s love for animals made her eager to find new furry friends in Chandigarh.
Adjusting to the weather in Chandigarh proved to be a challenge, as it was a stark contrast to the humid conditions in Mumbai. Aditi described the burning heat and sudden rainfall as a unique experience that required some adaptation.
Aditi Bhagat’s entry into Udaariyaan marks a new phase in her career, and she is determined to make the most of this opportunity, embracing the challenges and delivering an exceptional performance for the viewers to enjoy.
