Anjali’s mother is busy preparing food when Anjali from her bathroom asks her to give her shalwar/pant as she is getting late for the court. Mother asks why she always forgets her dress and checking grocery bag says she must have got grocery on debt, even shopkeeper will stop giving them groceries on debit next time. Anjali says she is getting a new client today and will manage to get some money for sure. Her father irons her dress and gives it to her. He asks mother why she always scolds Anjali. Mother says Anjali has grown up and he should think of her marriage. Father warns her to dare not speak about marriage in this house as he wants Anjali to become a successful lawyer. Anjali walks out of the bathroom ready and praises her dad for his broad thinking. She says their times
Pooja preparations start at Rajput house. A man asks his wife Nivedita about other family members. She explains where they are. He asks her to prepare aarti thali. She goes to prepare pooja thali. He then asks his SIL about Padma. She says she has gone to deliver prasad to Kavya. Anjali rushes out of the house. Her mother asks her to have breakfast first. She says if she delays, her client will run away. Her chawl friends bring a case for her of kidnapping. She boasts about her legal knowledge and asks who is kidnapped. Friends say their goat. She scolds them for bringing such a case. Her umbrella falls down. She bends to pick it and finds her scooter punctured. She asks someone to push her scooter.
Yuvraj parties with his friends and gets drunk in a club besides a swimming pool. His friends ask him to stop drinking much or else his father will scold him. Yuvraj ignores them. Padma walks in nervously holding prasad box. Yuvraj notices her and thinking of flirting with her. His friends stop him, but he ignores them again and walks to Padma. He introduces himself and insists her to party with them. She shivers in fear. Rajput family’s elder SIL calls Padma and asks why is she taking so much time to deliver prasad to Kavya and return home. Padma nervously says she will come soon. Nivedita asks elder SIL to get ready for the aarti. Argument ensues between two daughters when one wants to skip pooja and attend party. Nivedita and her husband stop their fight and say they will stay at home and perform Matarani’s pooja. Husband asks other girls about gangajal and someone to call maa. Maa walks to him and says she is here. Vaibhav walks in and says maa can’t attend pooja as per elder brother. Nivedita’s house asks reason. Vaibhav’s wife says elder brother doesn’t want any issue in pooja because of maa. Maa says she was stopped from attending court by elder brother, she is Kangana Singh Rajput, LLB. Family disperses.
Yuvraj snatches prasad and mobile from Padma and insists her to party with him. His friends try to stop him, but he pushes them away and throws Padma in water. Padma cries that she wants to go home. Yuvraj’s friend gets her out of pool. Yuvraj tries to stop Padma, but she runs away from there. Yuvraj with his friends follows her. His sister notices them and stops Yuvraj and says that girl is Aman’s housemaid. His friends continue to chase Padma. Padma struggles to pull her scooter between traffic jam and is troubled by beggars. She scolds and shoos them away. She notices Padma being chased by goons, finds an opportunity and thinks she got her first case, and rushes to rescue her. Padma hugs her.
Precap: Goon asks Padma who is she. She is advocate Anjali Awasthi and thrashes him. Rajput’s elder SIL calls Anjali’s sister cheap like her father. Anjali tells her sister over phone that she is not a coward like her and will fulfil her father’s dream.
