Episode 49

Naina: Karan! Come yaar! Tell me! I can’t wait to know!
Karan: Naina, Mr. Khanna, ******’s owner, he is the one of the biggest sponsor in the film industry… He is the one who brings up many singers, actors and dancers into the spotlight of the Bollywood film industry..
The same Mr. Khanna has planned to introduce me to a bigger crowd than the ones that I have already performed in.. He said if performed well then he would help me grow up in the industry by introducing me through one of the biggest concert…
Naina’s was as overjoyed as Karan was..
Naina: Oh my god! KARAN! THIS IS SUCH AN AMAZING NEWS YAAR! Chalo let’s go tell everyone! Come!
She said holding his hand and pulling him.
Since he didn’t move an inch and he had held her hand she looked back at him..Tears had welled up in his eyes again.
Naina turned around and stood facing him.
Karan hugged her as soon as she faced him.
Naina didn’t understand why..but she wrapped her hands around him.
Karan: Thank you so much, Naina.. I really don’t know what would have happened if you hadn’t come into my life.. I would have been doing nothing to achieve the biggest dream of my life.. And if I’m getting anything.. it would be always because of you.. only you!
Then he broke the hug. And wiped his tears..
Karan: Naina… promise me.. being one of my bestest friend, you will never stop supporting me.. and yeah you will have to bare my singing.. and attend all the biggest concerts of my life!

Naina laughed at that and nodded a yes..
Naina: Toh when is the program?
Karan: It’s a day before Karvachauth ..
Few weeks to go! I’m very excited!
Naina: Me too Karan! Where is the program by the way?
Karan: The same place where I wanted my first big concert to be taken place..
He said happily..
Naina turned around to walk downstairs..
Naina: Chalo let’s go tell everyone about this wonderful news!
Karan held her hand..
Karan:Naina.. not now! We’ll tell them either tonight or else tomorrow..

Naina smiled and agreed..
Karan: Shall we go to office now?
Naina: Sure! ☺️

All of them left for work.. That night they weren’t abled to tell them.. so they planned to tell it the next day morning.. and it was a Saturday.. (yeah! They celebrate everything and have so many holidays exclusively on “Aise kaise jaane doon!”)

Karan: I wanted to tell you guys something..
NK looked up.. Nirmala replied..
Nirmala: Kya hua Karan?
Karan: From so many days I had been coming home late as I had been going for small small concerts…because of this, I got a call yesterday from Mr.Khanna…
He couldn’t continue..
NK’s mouth had opened wide in shock.
Meghnal,Sakshi,Khyati: WHAT!!????
Nirmala ran towards her son and hugged him..
Nirmala: And… what did he say after that?
She asked breaking the hug..
Karan:Karvachauth se ek din pehle Jaipur Mein hi ek concert hoga.. agar mein aha accha perform karunga toh woh mujhe Mumbai ki sabse badi concert Mein perform karne denge waise hi mujhe Bollywood Mein le kiya jayega..

Dadaji: Wah Karan! This is such a wonderful news! We all are proud of you..

(Good news: Sandhya wasn’t there during this discussion)

Meghnal, Sakshi and Khyati jumped up and started congratulating him and hugging him.
NK: good job.. do well
He said in a faded voice and left..
The rest of them froze up hearing it from NK!
All looked at NK walk away and then continued congratulating him for that too..
(Getting NK’s comment)

Days passed by: All had got there passes ready to watch Karan’s show..
Except two of them.. Sandhya, who didn’t know about it.. Karan wanted to give her a shock..but had got tickets for her..
And NK, who didn’t want to go as he felt guilty for all that he had done..
But Karan had bought a ticket for him too..

Dinner: few days later..
Khyati: I’m so excited for Karan bhai’s concert! Papa! We should throw up a big party after Karan bhai’s concert , What say?
NK just nodded..
Sandhya had been given extra work so she always came a little late..
All sat there discussing about concert after dinner..
NK silently walked upstairs… Karan got up to go talk to him.. but then Naina stopped him.. she took the pass.. and went towards the study..

Naina knocked at the door..
NK:come in…
Naina walked in..
NK: What happened ?
