“Gauri this is no time for all these things”
He mumbled in his sleep but Gauri was behaving very stubborn. She was shaking him in the sleep. “Om wake up na…” This time she almost dragged him from his sleep. He opened his eyes and Gauri sitting near him and looking at him with her big hopeful eyes. How can he not listen to her now…..
All of a sudden Gauri felt like eating pani puri and that’s why she was waking him up to take her to her favorite pani puri stall.
GAURI: Now that you have woken up…so can we go? (She questioned him like a small child)
Om first moved his head in disbelieve and then finally he got agreed. “That’s only because I love you” he said this while getting off from the bed. Gauri smiled at him. How cute he is…he even got agreed on her retarded wish. She was still sitting on the bed thinking about him when he tapped on her shoulder. “Madam! You want to go or not?” he was holding car keys in his hand. Gauri suddenly got up, straighten her dubatta and cheerfully went out of the room. Om stood there in disbelieve…”People are right, after marriage you are no more then a driver” then he went outside to fulfill the wish of his lady love.
They both were standing on the stall and Gauri was eating like a child. Sauce dripping from her fingers, mouth full of goll gappas. “Gauri! This is not the last gol gappas on earth. You can show some patience” he said this while controlling his smile. “You rich cute guyz have no idea what wonder these things are” she said this while stuffing another goll gappa in her already full mouth.
OMKARA: O hello! I am not one of those guyz and you know this. (But Gauri was just busy in her act of gulping goll gappas)
He though that it is useless to argue with her on this topic so he just remained silent and kept looking at her. After she got finished she requested him to have a walk with her. “At this time of the night?” Om asked her with amazement and she just innocently nodded her head in yes. “Ok then! I guess it is your wish fulfilling day” he held her hand and started walking on an empty silent road. It was dark and dense but no worries because they both were with each other. They were walking on the road and with that they were discussing matters like Shivay’s marriage and Rudra’s studies. While talking, Gauri stopped for a while and looked on side of her. “What happened?” Om asked her
GAURI: N…nothing (She had fear in her voice)
OMKARA: What is it Gauri? Why are you looking so alarmed? (He placed both his hands on her shoulders)
GAURI: Om i…I think someone is following us. I mean I sensed someone over there. (She pointed towards a side and Om looked in that direction)
“Wait I will see” he said and moved a little towards the direction Gauri pointed at. “Who is it?” he asked in a calm but strong and firm voice. There was no reply. “I said who is it?” he asked again but there was no response. “Probably there is no one but we should not stay here anymore, cz its not safe” he thought to himself and turned back to take Gauri home.
OMKARA: Don’t be afraid Gauri there is no…. (But the words died in his throat because she was not there anymore. He was alone standing in the middle of a quiet rode and she was not there. For a second Om couldn’t say anything. He looked hare and there quickly. His hands sweeting and expressions got tensed. “Gauri” He called her name but no response. “Gauriiiiii” this time he was calling her loud but there was no response. Omkara felt his legs shaking. What just happened? Where is she? Did someone take her or kidnapped her or….? But she was there just few seconds ago. Where can she go? His mind was busting with questions. He ran towards the thick tress and started calling her name again and again. He was so panicked that he was losing his senses. Where should he find her. what if something has happened to her? he felt that his head will burst with these thought. His eyes were wide opened and he was shouting her name. “O God…No please, please don’t make her away from me, please…..” Tears escaped from his eyes and he was still running in the trees finding her.
Shivay was standing in the kitchen when he sensed her. he turned back and saw her standing in the kitchen door. She too was looking at him without blinking. “You are awake at this time?” he questioned her casually. “I can ask the same thing to you” she answered him back by questioning him.
SHIVAY: I can’t seem to sleep now! Do you know why? (He questioned her by walking towards her. she didn’t answer so he answered by himself) because I am losing something and that is the most unsatisfying thing in the world. Do you know what I am losing? (He questioned her again but instead of answering him she walked towards the fridge and took out a water bottle and started drinking from it)
SHIVAY: You don’t have answers to my questions, right! (He was now standing behind her and she closed her eyes for a second, took a deep breath and was about to go when he held her by her elbow)
“Stop running away from me” he turned her back and looked into her eyes.
“I am not running away from you” she said with a shaky voice and she was trying to not look at him.
“Look into my eyes Anika” he places his finger under her chin and raised her face towards her…
Anika looked straight into his eyes and all she could see was love and affection for her. it was getting hard for her. She was trying her best to avoid him, to not face him or come any way near him. She was somewhere deep down in the earth and he was the brightest star in the sky. How can she tell him that she loves him too.
SHIVAY: You see it but you do not accept it. (He placed a hair strand behind her ear and placed his other hand on the back of her neck)
ANIKA: I…I need to go. (She tried to go but he held her strong by her waist. Anika looked at him with amazement)
SHIVAY: You are not going away without an answer. (He said each word with seriousness) I know you want to say something. (He came near her face a little) So just say it Anika! This life is too small. So just say it….
He joined his head with hers and closed his eyes. “Say it” he said again in a whisper. His breath touched her face and she closed her eyes. His hands were around her waist and he was slowly tightening his grip. Engulfing her in a protective hug. She moved her hands towards his back and felt like to be in the safest place. It was Shivay who was with her right now. His Shivay, the one who can do anything for her, the one who took her out of the darkness, the one who helped her fighting with her biggest fear. She closed her eyes tight and tightened her grip on him, slowly she placed her head on his chest, dragging her head all the way from his neck, giving him chills in his body. His embrace was the safest place in the world. Few seconds passed and they stayed like this, in each other arms but then reality hit her. what is she thinking? What is she doing? Doesn’t she remember her past? Doesn’t she remember who she is? She opened her eyes and sensed her position. Shivay was standing there with a smile on his face while hugging her but he then felt a strong push on his chest and he opened his eyes in amazement. Anika with all his power pushed him back and almost falling he balanced himself. His eyes were widened in shock and he looked at her with questioning expressions. Anika had tears in her eyes and she was about to go but again he held her and this time his grip was harder than before. “Not without my answers” he said by grinning his teeth. It was getting unbearable for him now. Why is she not accepting him?
Anika looked at him with his teary eyes and said “You want answer right? So just listen Mr Shivay Singh Oboroi…I don’t love you. You understand I DON’T LOVE YOU!!!!….Is it so difficult to understand han? (Shivay closed his eyes on these lines, he felt like his heart being stop. She said this so easily) You are getting married to Malika and hare you are questioning me. at least be sincere to her. she is a good girl so please don’t break her heart. And now please leave my hand.
Shivay left her hand and she went away without even looking back at him. He just stood there. His mind was not working. He was not able to think of anything else. The only words which he could hare were those three line she just said “I don’t love you”. Things were slipping out of his hands very quickly. He was again losing her. Again, his heart was breaking and again he was feeling so helpless. He sported himself against the kitchen counter and looked up. “If you are listening? Then please don’t make me suffer again. I am not strong enough to lose her again” he prayed like a defeated warrior.
His voice was drowning in his mouth. He was encircled with fear. He placed both his hands on his head and was trying to think of a way to find her but his mind was not working. He was feeling weak and he was feeling angry on himself to leave her for a second. It was all his fault. It was all his fault that she got disappeared….. he stood there like a lifeless body and stared at the depth in front of him. Hope was nowhere near him when he felt someone’s hand on his shoulder. By immediately turning his head he found his life standing there. So many emotions at one time he was experiencing. “G…Gauri” he touched her face to ensure his doubts and then he engulfed her in a bone crushing hug. “I was so scared…I…I thought I have lost you” tears were making their way down his face and he kissed Gauri’s forehead and then again hugged her. “I am an idiot Gauri! I am so sorry…I should never have left you…i…” Words died in his throat. He was soo happy to have her back that he was not able to control his tears.
Gauri was not expecting this kind of reaction from him. She lied to him that she sensed someone chasing them and when he went to see it she ran from there and hid herself in the trees. For the whole time, she was looking at him and was smiling but when she saw him getting more and more tensed and serious she came out. She just wanted to scare him a little but hare he got frightened allot. Even he started crying. Gauri felt bad for him…. does he loved her this much. “Look what you have done Gauri! What kind of wife you are? Look at him? What you have done to him? She scolded herself in mind and Om was now apologizing to her and she couldn’t take it anymore.
GAURI: Om please stop apologizing….i was just doing a prank on you…there was no one out there…I just wanted to scare you and that’s why I left from there.
Omkara who was dying in guilt got silent on her explanation. He couldn’t believe his ears
“What did you just said?” he asked her again and Gauri was now feeling even worse.
