After all the rumors and speculations it is now clear that actress Aanchal Shau has been locked in to essay the role of grown up Bondita in Barrister Babu. Aanchal, who is currently shooting for the serial Kyun Utthe Dil Chhod Aaye, in an interview with BT shares, “Coincidentally I am working for the same production house on another show on a different channel. I was informed by the makers that auditions for the show Barrister Babu are taking place but I wasn’t aware that the show is taking a leap. After four-five days I was called in for the second round of auditions for the role of Bondita and then I went for a mock shoot and on Thursday I got to know that I have been finalised for the role.”
When asked about actress Kanika Mann who too was finalized for the same role although she opted out of it at the last minute, she said, “After I was finalised for the role, I realized that a lot of names were there to play the grown up Bondita. Before that I was not keeping a track of the news related to the show and the leap,” she said.
Talking about her role and the trolls it attracts, she says, “I know comparisons are going to happen and I am ready for online trolls also, but I just hope people don’t cross their line while comparing me or trolling me online. I am fine if the comparisons happen, but I just hope that my family is never dragged into any kind of trolling.”
16 years old Aanchal further talks about waiting for her vaccination so that she can shoot tension free. “I am not yet eligible for vaccination and I am scared of this pandemic. So as of now, though I will be shooting for two shows, both in the biobubble format, I will be taking care of myself on my own. I am also eating all the right food to boost my immunity and also taking all the necessary precautions,” she says.
