At Night, after the function gets over….
Mishti and Kuhu go to their room. On their way, they hear some voice from Meenakshi’s room. They both hide and listen to them. They see Parul massaging Meenakshi.
Parul: You should be happy now.
Meenakshi: Yes Parul, both sons are now having good life partners. Very soon, I’m expecting grandchildren from them. After seeing their faces, I will go to kasi to repent for my mistake.
Parul: Didi, you shouldn’t go. I need to go.
Meenakshi: No, you should stay here. Both Mishti and Kuhu will need your help in raising the children.
Parul: Won’t they need your help then? You are the pillar of this family and house. So, you should not go.
Mishti and Kuhu wonder on what mistake they are talking about.
Meenakshi: I need to go Parul. I made a mistake by marrying that man against my father’s wish. Now, I’m repenting for that.
Parul: We both made that mistake didi…
This shock both Mishti and Kuhu.
Meenakshi: Leave that, go and sleep. We will talk tomorrow.
Parul gets to leave. Mishti and Kuhu also leaves.
They search for Abir.
Meanwhile Abir goes to a store room in the basement car park. He wonders about that room as he has not seen that room before. He goes inside the room and find old things. He also finds albums and diaries. He sees that the album is of his mother’s wedding album. He smiles looking at that. Then he sees a pic falling down. He gets shock seeing that pic of Parul and his father in a wedding attire.
He sits down and thinks of his mother’s feelings and how he hurt his mom stating that she is the reason for his dad’s separation and also how he is leading a separate life from his mom.
Abir: Ma, I’m sorry.
He cries….
Mishti calls abir and ask him to come to her room ASAP.
Abir takes the pictures and goes to her room.
Kuhu locks the door.
Abir: Why you both are tensed?
Mishti: We heard one thing today.
Abir: What?
Kuhu tells him about Meenakshi and Parul’s talk!!!!
Abir: I guessed…
Mishti: What?
He shows them the album.
Mishti: This means, Parul is your dad’s second wife…
Abir: Now, I remember one thing.
Kuhu: What?
Abir: Dad and Mom had a fight and he left us when I was 5 years old. During that time, me, mom and Dadaji was staying at that home. Mamaji was working in abroad. After dad left us, Parul ma came to our home seeking for a job. Mom made herself busy in working to forget dad. Initially, I was angry on ma for dad’s departure and her busy schedule made me angrier on her. I found my solace in Parul ma. She was 2 months pregnant at that time. Then, my mom left me in a boarding school suddenly. Then I came home after 3 months, mom stated that she was pregnant. When I asked about Parul ma, she said that she is resting in hospital due to health issues. Then I came after 5 months, mom delivered Kunal stating that was a premature baby and Parul ma’s baby was born dead due to health issues.
Mishti: What’s hidden in this?
Abir: There is something. In between I came for ma’s godh bharai. That time, after my mom’s function got over, she and my Dadaji went to Parul ma’s home secretly. I followed them and I saw them both giving all the shagun to her which mom has received.
Mishti: This means????
Kuhu: Kunal is….
Abir: But that is not confirmed. We need to ask either mothers or dadji. Only these three can tell us the truth.
Mishti: Parul ma will tell everything. Come let’s go.
They three go to Parul’s room. They see her talking to Krishna idol named as Kunal.
Everybody gets shocked.
Parul: Kunal beta, like this Krishna you too have two mothers. Although I gave you birth, Meenakshi didi gave you everything. She gave her name, status, studies and a good life. You are very lucky.
Abir: Wow ma!!!!
Parul gets shocked seeing them at the door…
Parul: When did you come?
Mishti: We came at the beginning itself.
Parul cries….
Abir consoles her.
Abir: Ma, please don’t cry. We came here to hear the truth. Please tell us the meaning of this.
He shows the wedding pic.
Parul denies but they three force her to tell what happened in the past.
Parul: Me and your dad belonged to a village nearby. We both were in love from childhood. Even families accepted our love. Just then your dad went to your mom’s factory for job. Years went by, only your dad’s salary was reaching us but not him. After 5 years, one day your dad came. Our families got us married. He came with lot of money and jewels. When I asked him about this wealth, he told me that was the gift by his boss for his hardwork. I too believed him. After few months, I got pregnant and we were living happily. Then you mom came to the village searching for him. Then we got to know from her that your dad loved her when he joined in the factory. Your mom too loved him whole heartedly without even considering his poor background and married him against her father’s wish. And also, we came to know about you. We were totally devastated by your dad’s actions. Your mom scolded me and she went. Your dad went missing during her arrival. I broke my mangalsutra and broke all the ties with your dad. My father and mother passed away due to heart attack seeing these things. So, I came to your house seeking for a job with Kunal in my stomach. There I saw your mom and dad fighting and she breaking all the ties with him. I thought that your mom will scold me and will never accept me. But much to the surprise, she accepted me along with my baby. Your Dadaji too accepted me. Your mom decided to adopt Kunal as it was your dad’s baby and she loved your dad very much. So, she doesn’t want that baby to be nameless. So, we made a drama and made Kunal as her own child. I was so happy as she loved and cared Kunal more than you. No girl will do this. But your mom did. For me, she is an angel. And from then, I started to live in your home and took care of your family.
Abir cries hugging her.
Kuhu: You are my mother-in-law?
Parul: Kuhu, please don’t tell this to Kunal. He will break. He regards me as just a maid. He has high importance of didi in his heart.
Mishti: But ma, don’t you feel sad that Kunal is not treating you well?
Parul: No, I have not felt like that way because Abir has fulfilled that place. Whenever he calls me ma, I do things for him as I do for my own kid.
Abir cries in her lap.
Abir: I made a mistake. I thought ma as wrong.
Meenakshi: Abir, please don’t cry….
They see Meenakshi and gets shocked.
Abir hugs her and apologizes.
Meenakshi: I know, someday this truth will come out.
Mishti: Ma you are great. No woman will do this.
Meenakshi smiles in pain and ask them to promise that they won’t tell anything to Kunal. They promise!!!!
Meenakshi: One more promise.
Abir: What ma?
Meenakshi: Promise me that you will love Kunal the same way you did till now.
Abir: Ma, Kunal is my life. I won’t leave him or hurt him in any way. He is mine and that’s it.
Mishti and Kuhu hug each other!!!
Meenakshi: Ok, go and sleep. Tomorrow is your special day. Go…
The kids go…
Parul and Meenakshi hug each other!!!
